Reproduction US Tail lights just ordered!
Well, many large venders are hurting for $ in this economy, and cannot afford investing $ to buy quantities. So that is a big cost factors. We are not a big supplier to order 10000 of them.:disappoin But remember last few years when these tail lamps were still available back in mid 90's, there were $250 per a side, and that was over 15 years ago. Also replacement lenses that were made in New Zealand used to cost 285-$350 for just the lenses.(No chrome molding or backing with reflectors) And those are not available either anymore. And these sets I ordered will be also limited supply due to a large investment. The cost will include exclusiveship, modyfication of the mold, assembling, boxing them, shipping them, exchange rate, interest, and storage....... Inspecting the units when they arrive here.....It is a lots of work!!!!!! For all that, price should be $899 like the European tail lamps, but we managed to get this better pricing for many Z owners. So I hope you understand...............

Reproduction US Tail lights just ordered!
With a large investment, I just ordered US Tail lamps. It will come in July or August this summer. These will be limited production as it takes a large $ to order so many. Quality is already proven with European tail lamps. All hand assembled in Japan. Price will be around $495 a set, about 1/2 price of European Tail lamps. It will be available from MSA. By the way, in case you did not know, these reproduction Euro tail lamps will be out very soon. No plans for another lot for now.

Zap Decals

Source for JDM headlight covers
Reproduction ones are only 25000 Yen in Japan, which is about $275 over there. And it is very poor condition as I mentioned in few different threds. The lenses are for the early version so you can't really use the lenses as replacement for later ones....And then the chrome part is not a streight piece neither...all bunpy..... And no hardware is provided for them. Well, getting back to NOS headlight ocvers, I just sold a brand new set to a member here for $875, I mean flawless ones in the boxes. I think $1200 is little high.......I wonder what happend to the project of making good reproduction ones out of stainless by a member here.......That would be nice!:classic::laugh:

Are Sport mirrors from old Mustang II?
I have seen many cars with "SPORT MIRRORS" that have little sharper shape than original mirrors on 280Z cars. Here I have few pictures from listing on Ebay. Parts # is accessary #, and they look just like Mustang II manual mirrors in late 70's. If so, did Nissan use mirrors from Ford Mustang?

1975 fairladyz
First of all, these is no such thing as "GT" model, nor, "GT" budge. Secondly, there was no "280Z" in Japan between 75-78. If you say "280Z" in Japan, that indecated the car is "280ZX" 79-83 here in US by the way. Now, there were follwomng models back then, Fairlady Z Fairlady Z-L Fairlady 240Z Fairlady 240ZG If you show us the pictures and VIN, I can identify which model it is.

Motorsport Foam Seat Insert Kit
I just wanted you suggest you this since I have tried both of them. MSA Form kit only fit good on MSA seat Kit, and one from Classic Datsun only fit good on their kit, so you know. I am happy with the kit from Classic Datsun because I have red interior and MSA kit does not come with textured area when you order colored seat set. Black ones from MSA have texured skin. Both kit are good, and it is up to you.

parking brake cable upgrade

Missing fasten seatbelts sensor from drivers side
I forgot the year they started putting these on the car, but they are not really rare as most people throw them away in trash when restoring interior. Well, I would expand your search for the year 1972 (Production year 1971 do not come with the option, I believe) and up. Look on Ebay, they come around once a while. I have a spare one here in case you cannot find one, I might consider selling it to you.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.
I rather spend $5000 and buy a rust free car than a rust pot. Series 1 with few rust will be worth at least $5000 or so. Mechanical components can be repaired or replaced a lot easier than body. It is a matter of opinion.......

How many ZZZAP 280Z cars were made?
Thank you for your info! Yes, window sticker will help us identify the spec and car much clearly. If it is clean $10,000 is not bad at all. Imagine restoring one of these will cost 35-45K easily.

New type Tonnaue cover for 240Z 260Z 280Z
It's been very hard to make this, this is my 3 rd proto type. Originally, I bought an reproduction one from Eiji/Datsun spirit at $250, it was very poor quality. He accepted retun, an then he explained to me that is how iwas built back then. And I totally understand that. So I totally changed the design, and make it more functional than vintage ones. If it is a one-off, it would cost at least $350 or so.
