Where do you find an original down pipe for your original manifold? I know the muffler has been out of production....... I am sure a muffler shop could make one as long as you find a correct flange that fits original manifold....... Can someone take an action for a group buy??? Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

Like all the other Z cars with streight 6, reagrdless of the mileage, headgasket water and oil external leak should be looked at. When the car sits for a long time, many things start to fall apart when you drive it. Call this guy "Yasu" at Auto Inspector 310-308-6745 www.autoinspector.org He will perform full inspection of the car including: Body, frame, rust, mechanical, electrical, and test drive right on site. He works thoughout Southern California. Inspection price is ranging from $125-200 depending on your location. He is an ASE Certified tech as well as NAAA Certified frame structure examiner. He is also my former employee and very honest and good inspector. He is a super Z guy also! www.jdm-car-parts Esprist
  17. Speaking of battery terminal, my hand crafted battery cover with original frame and top lid shown here. I have kill switch at passenger side firewall as well. This give a very original but modern looks to your Z. Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

  19. Now, is it normal that it gets little warm at fuse block when the parking lamps are on? I have brand new: parking lamp harness, turn & headlamp switch, and so on. Esprist
  20. I installed a pair of fog light using existing wires on my 12/1971 car almost a year ago, now I have notice it gets really hot at Fuse sockets (Middle one at RH of fuse box: Parking lamp). So my fuse box got burned, and after careful/isolating diagnosis, I found out it is due to amp draw from the fog lights. I hooked up my each fog light to existing factory power line at bottom of core support, and ground them to the body. So What do you recommend to do ............(without modying a whole lot) I notice that fuse block at parking lamps is litle warm even without the fog lights on..........Is it normal? Pictures I have here is a set of fog lights and switch I made for my car Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

What I recommend you is to cut right at manifold for better performance with all the original parts on it. (If you unbolt the tubes, you still have to plug them anyway.) Now you could still run air pump with all the emission stuff on the car. Esprist

I would only do the floor, center tunnel and firewall areas, because that material is very heavy and very hard to remove. If you ever want to use paintless dent repair or something, it will be impossible to push it out from the back. Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

Since I have OCD, I pretty much bought and tried all of them. (Believe it or not, I re-upholstry my car 3-4 times. I am happy with the kit from Classic Datsun including their form kit fro the price. Note: MSA Seat kit do not fit right on seat form kit from Classic Datsun. So I would say their kit are from different manufactures. If you want totaly oroginal, I can get an exact matching ones from Japan for a cost of $450 a set (and use the form from Classic Datsun) I would recommande these on Low VIN cars. 25. I would definately buy a new filler neck. It comes with rubber seal ring. CALL MSA ! It is only around $90. Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com
