I used to have a business (www.autoinspector.org) and had contract with Auto Nation (about 80th biggest comapny in Fortune 500). We were certifying cars for their auction as well as doing arbitration for sold vehicles. I also did bunch of pre-purchase inspection for retail customer, and did bunch of professional witness at courts. Some days, I inspected over 200 a day ( used to get up at 4:30AM, and went to my office at 5AM)believe it or not. Some cars faild in a matter of a few seconds, some others take a lot more time. (I have been an ASE certified tech as well as N.A.A.A. (National Auto Auction Accociation) Certified frame/structual examiner) Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

It appears little rough in pictures on Ebay, for a 1 owner car with 38K miles.... If any of you are really buying this, I can give you some advise. I have been a professional car inspector in L.A. (Used to inspect 15000 cars annually for frame/structural/mechanical/computer diagnosis, etc..) Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

Have you replaced little bushing at the top of rear insulator? ON 240Z cars, front ones are the same as back ones. Front ones take bearings at the top, and back ones have spacer-kind'a bushing. MSA has Urethane ones available, by the way. The strut insulator is basically a rubber bushing. If you want to achieve a perfect even height, yes, you do need to replace all of them. Most Z cars are sagging in back because of them. FYI, on 260Z and 280Z cars, back ones are much higher, and can be used in back to raise your back. Esprist jdm-car-parts.com
  7. 17236-E4601 I can still get 6 NOS ones from Japan at $155 each at your cost. (Nissan retail price from years ago was 13,800 Yen (about$145)'My cost is about 125 plus shipping) I can have them in a week or two. Deposit required for this one. Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

I agree with sblake's idea of taking the core to the radoator shop. New one, from venders(Nissan parts) are basically the core for pick ups in Mexico, and are slightly larger than original. You have hard time sqeeze it into the box. Esprist www.jdm-car-parts.com

Cool!!!!! Mine was used at least 1 time, though. Your have air from 40 years ago! Your wheel also should have same production date at the rim. It should be 1/1971, or 2/1971 as the rest of wheels on the car. Esprist

Normally problem is at the contact points inside the sockets If not try bypassing soldered wires covered with black rubber tube. Even though they look fine, there might not bb no current flow. Very common problems. Esprist
