Original bellypan color?
"Splash Board" or Splash Panel should come in zink coated. However it used to come in semi Gloss black when you could still order from Nissan a long time ago. By the way, 280Z cars had a zink plated splash Board also the same way, so it came painted if you were to order from Nissan.

Possibly a source for the chrome trim on door panels:
You can buy them at Auto Zone, O'Reilly, or Pepboys for $20 a roll. As far as door panels, however question is how you revove the old molding off the door panels. You can buy a roll of aluminum tape (Must be real aluminum material) cut with 6mm with with a streight edge in one motion. Before taping old moldings, you need to remove chrome molding completely. And then, sand it with 1500 grid paper after masking around the moldings.

Datsun 240Z countoured scuff plates
I thought these are for 240Z 260Z and 280Z cars. However, these do not fit right on door panels. And you have to drille evil holes on your beautiful door panels. Current value on Ebay is about $35 for so. They did not sell too many of them, so many of them stayed on shelves. Just a info.

Original 240Z Clock by Jeco "Interested factory tag"
I would like to share an interesting fact about this NOS clock for Datsun 240Z I recently obtain from a collector. It comes with a tag from Jeco stating in Japanese as followed: "In order to maintain accuracy of this clock, it is recommended to take it apart for a clean up once a year" So, do we need to take it apart every year now?

What about the Z432-R 100 L fuel tank?
Hello Alan, There was an error on our thred. Only Z432 R had 100 Litter gas tank. I am sorry for the confusion. We currently do not have this flat panel kit for Z432 R due to incredible "hand made" cost from Japan. It sure comes with spare tire braket, which does not appear in our picture. However, we can have exact duplicated gas tank and straps made in Japan if you have lots of $ to spare..........:ogre: Esprist

Pricing 240z Rally Clock w/ Fully Functioning Oscillator?
I do not believe Ron has any replacement parts for the oscillator. I spoke with him last year about that, too. What is your price anyway?

Can you Rebuild the wiper arm linkage?
Well, if you careful, you should be removed with 2 small flat head screw drivers to open them up, and clamp them back on with a pair of pliers. See the pictures below. The rubber bushings can be replaced with rubber orings with high speed grease. It takes about 2 hours to get it cleaned and repaired. http://jdm-car-parts.com/restoration/Details.html

Pricing 240z Rally Clock w/ Fully Functioning Oscillator?
OK. Since I have gone through all 9 yards on rally clocks, this info might be helpful. The rally clock is worth around $150-350 by itself with "knob" The knobs are somewhat like 280ZX with analog clock, but different. (If you put a smallest washer and mechine screw from jewelry store, it can be used) The lenses are often cracked and it can be rusty inside even though the dial looks Ok. The most important thing is the working oscillator. I fould out that tt can be repaired at one or 2 places in Japan. (It conists of many resister and it can be repaired if you are lucky for $250-600. You also have to send it in with the clock. (The clock itself has only a motor and gears, but no timing components.) Now before anything else, please know the following fact about the clock. It looks good and everthing, but it also makes a awful laud noise. (I have a NOS rally clock on mine, and still makes a big motor noise) And it also consumes battery energy while it is parked. So I have my car's battery disconnected while it is parked. (If it is parked for a week to 10 days, it could kill your battery) If you wish to have them repaired, I will be more than happy to get it fixed in Japan. By the way, the callender clock is a good alternative for those of you who want "Rally clock look" on your car. It is traded at farely reasonable price in Japan and they have less issues. Please note that there are 2 versions (early one and late one) buy either one can be fitted as long as you change the connector at the back. Emergency brake handle restoration
Plastic grip of the handle is very high quality, which hardly come apart. You can also paint it on the car if you mast it well with "mini paint booth" made out of a cardboard box. You simply cover the area and paint around the handle.
