  1. Regarding US lamps, we are getting screwed at this point. That is another reason I am going to China as well, and see if they even still have my mold there.
  2. Again, I am going to Japan and China next weekend till next Month 7/25. If you are looking for something specificly, please let me know! Or any ideas/thoughts of reproduction parts, now is good timing to talk about! I will be checking this forum frequently, so noone is too late. ;);)
  3. I just wanted to let you know that there will be reproduction ones being made as we speak by a vendor very soon. (It is not me by the way)
  4. Thank you! Do you have pictures of the the rear view? How many cars were imported to FI?
  5. Does anyone know exactly these front and rear turn lights were installed on bumpers? I know that I have seen front ones on UK cars... I have also seen licence plate lamps on rear bumpers.

It is for 長野 "Nagano" prefecture. "01" is normally 03 or 33(more than 2001CC engine or/and bigger body size) 05 or 55 (less than 2000CC engine or/and conpact body size) *Police cars and other special cars(RV/TV&Radiocars, ambulance, fire track, and etc.. are "88" The letter "せ” is just a sequencial (Japanese alphabet) あいうえお かきくけこ さしすせそ たちつてと なにぬねの はひふへほ まみむめもやゆよ The big # are always 4 digit numbers and sequencial.
  9. Thank you for your help here Alan and 26th Z. There are no big bumper guards as you mentioned. I need to look into it. By the way, Nissan used to dump many things like you can never imagine: test body shell with no VIN, test car which never came out to the market, and so on. I have heard the company which was in charge of crushing and disposing products from Nissan use to sell them behind Nissan's back. So I have seen so many wierd stuff...........
  10. Any one? Any ideas?

Buddy of mine who are into 510, believes that some the parts from Too Intense are on recent Ebay listing using the same pitures from Too Intense Web, which does not exist anymore. The seller's ID are 2 diffrent ones: my_house_of_parts :szuniga http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270746141211 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Logo-Plate-510-240Z-260Z-280Z-Roadster-Truck-/250823397427?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a663d5033

That is impressive! Can we see the finished pictures, too?
  13. I just obtained some parts that originally came from from Nissan Zama Museum. It looks very authentic that it is using original bumper rubber parts and stuff. Please take a look some pictures here. Mr. Carl Beck might have an idea what these are since he has done some a nice job on his beautiful Baja car.
  14. I just received an invitation from Palos Verdes Concourse d'elegance. Well, it looks like they will have "Japanese Sports Cars (thru 1972)" for the first time. Since I live very near by, I will except the invitation and bring 2 or 3 very fine 240Z cars. Let's see what happens. I also heard that Toyota museum will bring 2000GT also, so it will be a good show for Japanese classics. http://www.pvconcours.com/classes.php
  15. I used to own this car after my friend restored it. He spent over $30K. (5 yrears ago?) I sold it to a guy in Kansas City for around $5000. And he later put it up on Ebay and sold it to another owner in Northern CA before this seller for $8000 or so. Bad thing is, it has a salvage title. It was theft recovery. The paint is not so great. (it keeps bubbling up. When I had it, it had an Automatic transmission. That is probably why this guy painted the hood in black and installed rear wing. My friend's wife was driving it with AC/Power windows/Automatic trans. Engine had headgasket external leak between #3 and #4. G-nose was 2 PC aftermarket. I would not buy it if I were you. The car was not in good condition to begin with.
  16. Motorsport has one for Sure!!!!!!!!
  17. OK here is the pictures of our cars at the show! Orange and white car stood out pretty well after car-wash-like rain.
  18. It was good and back as Rich mentioned. space for "Japanes Classic pre-78" was down the hill where it impossible to even drive down and park(I am not kidding) see the picture here. So we asked them to let us park near by eveyone else!!!!!! They kept saying "NO" "YOU MUST PARK HERE!" but later they realized there were many no shows due to rain in the morning. So they let us park in better place. And I felt like Rich and I were very minority there just like how I felt when I first came from Japan to Iowa for college eduation over 20 years ago. And there should be Unrestored original and restored original catelgoly so that both of us got first place! The judges were not really tune to Japanese Classic Cars though...
  19. Well, our US reproduction tail lights are still on the way. Restoroing old lamps are not very productive unless your tail lamp lenses are in great shape with perfect reflectors and backing housing as well. We invested over $100K for this project. So hold on to your wallet.

Check battery terminal and the ground. And then solenoid can be taken apart and cleaned.

We have few decals available from Japan (4 pages) http://shop.jdm-car-parts.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=nnru1r6o5r32pmot2ti23q8j55&keyword=decal;)
  22. This company also makes 2000GT replica cars out of Miata cars. Those are cool, but very pricy......
  23. Does Z31 have Borg Warner Trans? If so you have to mess with different trans mount, drive shaft, clutch slave and so on. I would get 280ZX trans(Non turbo) 1979-1980 trans: wide ratio 1981-1983 non turbo is close ratio. 1982-83 Turbo: Borg Warner(not recommended, because parts are not really available and you have to modify cross memebr and drive shaft)
  24. By the way, this one has an open-end at exhaust manifold side bracket so you do not need to remove the nut all the out. Better design.:bulb:
  25. Thank you for the picture. As it is shown, E46 on Most Series 1 car have inlet on the side. E41? Series 2 and 3 have inlet both at the top and side.
