Wow, what a find. Would this be the oldest S30 [albeit shell], in existance. Now I know how Howard Carter felt.......
  4. Why not a T-top? You're not going to fit Roll Bars and go dirt bashing????? MOM
  5. Incidently, I noticed the clip that holds it, isn't a circlip after all. Is this original? or did Nissan use a circlip? MOM
  6. Yes, that's it! Thank you........ MOM
  7. Unfortunatly it doesn't. Alan T provided an exploded diagram of the wiper assemby, what I need is the [a] exploded diagram of the motor arm connection to the main wiper arm. Can anyone help ????? MOM
  8. HI all, Last night the wipers on the 240 popped the circlip, after pulling everthing out that had to be pulled, I was left with a collection of washers, a spring and some interlocking parts plus a broken circlip. I searched the FSM for a exploded diagram so I could correctly assemble this, no luck either, does anyone have an exploded diagram of this assembly? I've assumed RHD is the same as LHD.... TIA MOM

We would all be interested in where your mechanic found the O-rings for this. They haven't been available from Nissan for the past 30 years [or so].
  10. I'm convinced this is fuel supply problem. Re-check the fuel lines for blockage, use HP air to back blow the line, reason is that while you may be able to blow [mouth] the line this may not actually dislodge whatever is causing the blockage. As I said in my first post I had exactly the same problem, simply blowing back using your mouth does not give you any indication of a partial blockage, use HP air....going off to eat my words now.....

So, I take that as DNF in many cases! Did they run a Historic Category or was it all PRC? Most of those [if not all] in the list would qualify in HRC 2.
  12. Might be time to blow out the fuel line with HP air. The 260 exhibited problems similar and was cured by blowing back the line. Out came a piece of string... Don't ask....

  16. I haven't seen them around since factory a/c became popular. They actually had antoher purpose, which was to suck/vacuum out the interior air and produce a cooling effect. I'm not sure if it's illegal in all states to drive with your arm/elbow out of the car, it is in Victoria, but you would be crazy to do it around town.... MOM
  17. Strap seperate. Forward of the armrest [ie towards the front]
  18. Well that photo isn't in your member gallery, thats possibly why there has been little response. My bad also, for some reason I've been thinking front strut....as Mick says they will changeover... MOM

There is one other method of removing or rather breaking free the Crank bolt. Remove the valve cover, on inspection of the camshaft you will observe a section that has 2 fin like sections. By using a large adjustable spanner or plumbers wrench you can have a friend hold the cam from moving in this way while you use a large breaker bar on the bolt. No friend available, then let it jam on the head... MOM
  23. well, I can't find it, all the titles seem to be for resto work. You best paste a link as I don't have time to spend hours looking.....
