Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
- Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
I've had a re-read of this thread and have come to this conclusion... No one is actually against people downloading the images that have been uploaded to this site... What they object about is... Use of the image without recognition given to the uploader or photographer or who ever owns the image. I can image how I would feel if I saw an image of my car on another site or this site for example, being portrayed as being owned by some other person. This has happened on this site, unfortunatly the true intention of the thread has become clouded by members objecting to not being able to download for personal use rather than re-publishing as ther own. Nuff said, I'll now make myself a cup of tea and have a Bex and lay down... MOM- Help Needed with multiple electrical problems
Sounds like the car is possessed... Start by checking the earth from the battery. By this, I mean cleaning the terminals thoroughly. That should solve the starting problem. Indicator lights can be caused by using the incorrect globe. By this I mean a single filliment has been used in place of a twin filliment, or vicaversa. Start with the earthing problems first and progress from there... Good Luck MOM- Return of the Handbrake!!
Touche' MOM- Z related questions(Australia).
The LEDS should last the life of the car! There was a thread on this several years ago, I don't actually now of anyone who has done this, although, it will be my prefered option when, I recover the dash. MOM- Z related questions(Australia).
Hella is the only manufacturer/importer of the globes you need that I'm aware of. They aren't that expensive, any auto shop should be able to order them in. While you are pondering over this, consider changing over to LED replacements, I believe that they are also available.. MOM- HybridZ.org left me confused :S
In what category do you intend to use this pocket rocket...? MOM- Front sits higher...why?
Take it out on the road and see if it settles down first... MOM- In with the 280ZX Coupe
Well yes, you can provided it's over 25 years old. Problem is that it can only be run under a permit, which is limited use only, such as club outings etc. Not available for a daily driver. $200US eh.... wonder what the shipping to Aus would be... MOM- Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
Why not have 2 galleries? One for no downloads, the other for what ever happens! MOM- Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
Well.... I guess the only other option then is to have the downloader request permission from the uploader if he can download the file which the uploader has uploaded! MOM- Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
Mike, can you add the forth option, before the thread grows? Worry about how it can be done later if the majority want it! MOM- Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
Mike, I think Mike W has an excellent idea. Can you add this option? MOM- New Tokico's have arrived.
Ah, torque to what? MOM- In with the 280ZX Coupe
I really didn't think that they where made as a 2 seater? Would look mean with a Targa Top! MOM- In with the 280ZX Coupe
Unless your handy with a angle grinder and oxy, then I wouldn't give you a hope in ..... getting one... PS A MIG would help in putting it back together... MOM- 1972 Dulux Rally
Tom has informed me that the date was 9-18 November, I assume that was 1972. I'm also assuming the '73 Southern Cross would have run around March/April 74, in which case this car would have been a survellence car sent out before hand. Unfortunately, this is as much as he can recall. At least it plugs up one more hole... MOM- 1972 Dulux Rally
Have recieved some new information about this event from the Clerk of Course, Tom Snooks. So there is no confusion with other threads, I have created this new one. The Datsun 240Z finished fourth outright. it was Car no 3 1. Bond/Shepheard XUI 2. Brock/Kilfoyle XUI 3. Mcleod/Mortimer XUI 4. Herrmann/Bonhomme The car was entered by Nissan Motor Co (Aust) Pty Ltd. Another vehicle entered was a 180BSSS for John Roxburgh/Mike Mitchell. This finished 9th. These were the only Datsuns entered. At Winron Raceway Herrmann kept getting in the way of Jon Leighton (Mini), blaming fuel surge. Leighton nearly crashed into Herrmann a couple of times and in the pits Leighton smacked Herrmann in the head. At the subsequent Stewards hearing Leighton was fined $100. The incident was quite famous in its time. Bonhomme in the meantime drove the car around the circuit, had no fuel surge problems and put up a respectable lap time. I find it surprising that Nissan only sent out one zed for this event, perhaps it was a fact finding mission for the assult on the 73 Southern Cross Rally? MOM- Home-market HS30 options
Don't worry about Kats to much, as we all know these cars are a disease that doesn't have a cure. Wait 2 weeks and see if he has returned, if not them we can bombard him with e-mails asking him to return with some more astonising information... MOM- 240K Ignition Lock/Barrel
If you have the numbers for the lock, then try getting a new key cut first. It will be cheaper! Your only option after that is a new lock, don't bother looking around for a secondhand unit. MOM- Finally, my Twice Pipes exhuast system is installed.. but problems.. Pics inside
The twin pipes on the works rally cars didn't cut the rear valence. Perhaps, you can get them placed higher up? MOM- More horses
Duel webbers, well that's the problem. Back to Su's or if you want webbers then triple's.... MOM- Newbie
Hi Method, Welcome to the club and the forums. How healthy is your wallet? Remember, you get what you pay for... we have some selling for around 15-20K, whilst the bottom end of the market [and requiring work] would be 5K. Not sure if you will find any in Tassie, though. MicksZ is in Tassie, search the profile list and send him PM, else sit back and enjoy as all the Aussie on the list offer their advice.. MOM- Headlight wiring
This is common in DC circuits. I'll try to explain the best I can Tomohawk: In DC systems the load is always place before the switch and by convention the fuse. Placement of the fuse, either before the switch or after is another argument, often debated with no right answer... Reasoning for this is that the load [headlight, in this case] consumes all the power and any current flow after the load is reduced. this then requires a smaller switch and fuse than would normally be required. Think of it this way, a headlight is rated at 55watt IIRC, that 55 watt or most of it would be consummed in heating up the filiment to produce illumination of whatever brightness. If for example it uses 50watt, then 5 maybe left in the circuit flowing towards the switch, fuse. This my understanding of why the wiring diagrams appear to be "wrong"... Anyone else like to enlighten us... MOM- Puzzling misfire
Well.... armed with this info, it could be a break down in the coil. I gather you haven't actually tried a new one? MOM - Poll: Should we prevent gallery downloads?
