FWIW, I haven't spoken to Clive lately, it may be the car in question, I remember him mentioning it had a history at PI. There was a ? over the shell, or should I say it may have been a re-shell using the original bits. There has been much discusion at Historic Level without any consenus.

There is to much information on this site. I re-read an old post about HS-130's in Australia and realised why I got confused about the (L). I thought I had better mention this before Alan T reads this thread and has a heart seizure! Interestingly, if the originator of this thread had performed a search, the information would have become available to him. Carl, given that there is no break up of RHD/LHD models, have you any idea if serial numbers were separate for both models; ie did HLS-130 00001 & HS-130 00001 co-exist?
3. I don't see what the ho-ha about the ZX is anyway. This site was established for S-30 owners, not HS130 owners. Why should they try to hi-jack it? Granted they have no where else to go, but that doesn't stop them from gleaning information about the excellence of the S-30 from the many threads contained herein, rather than trying to stick up someones nose. Comments like the one posted by whew41 do the ZX cause no favours....

We have discussed this before, for some reason best known to Nissan, no L was used to indicate a LHD HS-130. Now the waters get mudder as there is no way of determining how many RHD or LHD HS-130 models where made. Perhaps ZHome has more info on this?

Hi, Welcome to the forums. I doubt if there is anyone here that can help you with HS130 parts, there maybe so there is no harm in posting. The majority of information contained within the threads is S-30 specific, many of us are seeking answers to the first production and pre-production of the S-30 and derivitives. Mod note: originally posted to ZCar History. Moved to Help me.

Anything with 240 in it is going to confuse the left hookers. Good luck in getting it changed, I can appreciate your fustration.

Other Nissan Vehicles! Seriously, it won't make any difference as posters who post to the "K" forum inadvertantly, will still post to the ONV forum.
8. I think those are UK number plates, so asking anyone in Australia isn't going to help!
9. Thats just made mine worth 6K!

Can you post the Model and serial numbers please?
11. And the switch part nums. They go in the consol. partnum.bmp
12. These are the part #'s still looking for the switch, any idea where it's located? partnum.bmp
13. I was looking for the switch and came across this...
14. Try this ........
15. Is this what your looking for?
16. I've just struck what I believed to be the same problem, however while the symptoms are identical the fix is different. For those that think that the thread is stripped in the capitive nuts read on.... After re-reading this thread, I had come to the conclusion that I was in deep poo and the only way would be to use the above methods to mount a captive nut on the adjusting plate. So, I removed one bolt so I could match it up with a nut, surprisingly on inspection the bolt had actually stripped the thread high up near the top. The fix was to obtain a couple of metric bolts, grind the end to a taper. Nissan no longer hold the bolt in stock (in Aus.)

Wasn't it part of the voltage regular box? There were 2 fuses in the same package..

The easiest way of replacing the shunt is by finding a replacement from a donor. There is no way that I'm aware of, that you can make one as it is a mathematical predetermined (length*width*depth) piece of metal that has a known resistance.
19. I'd be interested as well! Australian delivery was still round top in 73.
20. You guys were lucky in that you got the zx 2 seater........ It's just when Sblake wrote "so technically there is a such thing as a 1975 260Z" Without specifying the area, it needed clarification.
21. Hate to pop your bubble, however 260Z's were produced until 1978 as a RS or GRS model! Not sure what the circumstances were in Europe, perhaps someone form that part of the world can enlighten us as to when the S-30 finished there? MOM

Hi Enrique, The "churn" type filler was basicaly a fast fill device which had a bayonet type fitting at it's end, connnecting with the fuel filler. The question arose as to whether the S-30 filler was designed with this in mind, obviously you've notice the extra large size of it as well!. Must go as I'm involved in a debate with a idiot who believes that not only Albrecht Goertz had something to do with the design of the S-30 series Nissan. But he influenced the design of the Porsche and Healy. MOM <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Hi all, I've just been posed the question if the Fuel Filler was designed with a churn type filler in mind? It's the first I've heard of, however, given the size of the filler door and cap, it appears quite plausible. MOM
24. Just an update before closing the thread. Never having to pull an axle before, I was rather surprised how easy in came out. A couple of good bangs with a mallet enabled it to slide out. On a scale of 1 to 10 with removing U-joints in the drive shafts being 10, this is a 2-3 job...
25. Thanks, I wasn't sure how tight the shaft was, sounds like a sledge hammer job. Would I need to replace the bearings or is it prudent to change them anyway?
