Aussie power query
Back in 77 when I brought my first zed, iit came with the lot. Flat tops [because they couldn't sell them elsewhere], air pump, injectors into exhaust manifold, coasting valves and anything else you could imagine that had no relevance to Australia. Nuff said.

Can someone please answer the question on the bonnet/hood realease? Please

I couldn't let this pass by. Several Years ago I got the dash recovered. Being curious I had a good look at it and realised how the "bits"could be swapped over from RH to LH, so there really isn't a LH dash or RH dash, just a dashe made of generic parts that could make either!

Not sure on any of these points alpha, maybe there is no black or white answer as all we are doing is discussing a grey area. Can anyone tell me where the bonnet release is on a LHD aed car? If it's on the RH side then it's a question of money else....... tea & crumpets at 5 no doubt...

Has anyone flipped the car over to see what mountings actually exist in the trans tunnel. I would have thought it would have only been a minor change for the mounting hardware going right to left. I'm doing this from memory as the good book are at home, but don't the cables meet and come the centre of the trans tunnel. Is there provison for a mount on the LH side? I await a call from the BBC...........over[but not out]

Ahhhhhhhh, all these years I've thought matching numbers where chassis/engine numbers. not matching numbers from the plate eeeeeeee, can't wait to get home and check both cars..... [see you can learn something new]

Sounds a bit like big brother to me. I can't say that there has been any post, thread, joke [apart from the kitty handle] that has offended me. We're all responsible Z owners and to say otherwise would be demeaning of what the list and the club stands for. After all you can already add your postscript so why not change you moniker! Mike the philoZopher:finger:

Now I feel guilty.:disappoin Having brought this to Moderator Mike's attention all that I have managed to suceed in is to remove Senior Member and possibly other monikers that haven't been noticed.:tapemouth How about enabling the option and hopefully restore the status quo? [Actually interested in what mind bending monikers all will endeavour to come up with]. Bags philoZopher hehe

Ah, you made the point that they only did this on some LHD Rally cars. Which ones where entered into the Monte? Was this one of them? My guess would be that they all had this conversion or none of them did as the Scrut's would DEFINATELY smell a rat with both types being present. Mike

My 240 hasn't got one, but not being sure of it's providence I can't discount it not being taken off.[can't prove it either]! on the other hand my 260 has. I suspect the ones that didn't may have been the shipment that was meant to go to the UK.

Actually, I think its more than interesting, who's noticed the console. Have a look at the way it's moulded around the brake! Maybe the LHD version with brake on the LH side of the tunnel with matching console was an option after all?

It seems no-one out in cyber Z space has the answer. Is moderator Mike lurking in the background and able to answer this question? Please Mike, come out of cyberspace and put us all out of our misery! :sleepy:

Just to add, they where designed[?] and built locally [sA, definate]. Don't think they have been commissioned as yet due to noise problems. Another case of trying to re-invent the wheel down under. :tapemouth

Alpha, I guessed you new, but there would be many readers to this thread who wouldn't have the foggiest. Anyway wasn't The Simpsons unleashed on us before the Wiggles attacked the US? As for Big Kev, well I'm speechless, I had no idea......[Now you'll have to explain this to them]!

Ok Mike, I'm I the first to notice this. How many post do we need to qualify or can we choose our own designators? MN

Wasn't that Keatings secret weapon, [the Collins Class] before he got thrown out of government? FYI, Keating was á previous Prime Minister, who prior to being elected to parlement was a band promotor. Rumour has it that he now promotes the Wiggles!

Oh you stirrer you, You may have more luck starting an argument about cricket being superior to baseball! Reminds me of a Volvo I once owned [although I might regret owning up to it]. The indicators where on the "wrong"side. After a while you get used to it and think it normal, hence the lack of response on the handbrake question.
