These are pics of where the power window circuit breaker is located in a 1983 280zx. Which is on the pass. side kick panel, up inside a oval hole, well behind it actually. It has i little 2 bolt bracket that hangs behind, inside that hole. Anyways heres the pics, of what where and how..kinda the new circuit breaker can be bought at any local autoparts store.....I only paid $2.63 which was awesome! for all the trouble I had with this thing. -

it has 3 , is the power windows circuit breaker near the seat belt circuit breaker

the seat belt timer does that also control the power windows?? the part I pulled out that is what according to the repair manual is thepower window circuit breaker , BuyNissanParts.com is saying is the seat belt timer, which isn't avilable any more I'm getting extremely discouraged over this car! I need some help please someone with some knowhow call me 0419043901528 Ohio (take out all three 0s) Thank you.

Ok so how do I know if I bent a valve or poked a hole in the piston, and how do I adjust it?

OK, so I got a 83 280zx 137,000k on it this past weekend. it had been sitting since 1992, needed a fuel pump, anyway I changed all the fluids and drove it around 10 miles yesterday, everything was great. I start it up this afternoon, and sounds like it's knocking/ticking really loud. So I pulled off the valve cover and one of the rocker arms came out of that little slotted nipple on top valve spring, and the rocker arm was angled barely riding on top the little slotted thing, and the slotted thing was rotated 180 degrees. And another rocker arm the little slotted thing was missing(which I saw laying on the head) but the rocker was still in it's correct position. Any I idea how all this happened? And does anybody know how in detail to adjust this stuff? P.S. I got it all back together so it's in it's proper locations and the knock is gone but , I don't know how to adjust this stuff. The radio doesn't work in my 83 280zx, does any one know if they make an aftermarket dash kit , or something?

I just bought a 83 280zx the gas gauge read just under a 1/4 of a tank on the little arm gauge, and E on the main gauge. I just put 9 gallons of gas in the car today and it didn't move? Can you fix the gas gauges on these cars? Is there a float in the gas tank? Any help would be helpful. Thanks

Hi, I just bought home my first Z car ever. It's a 1983 280zx. I went 1100+ miles to get her. It had been sitting since 1992, but it's all original one owner car, and the power windows and the radio won't work. I Checked the fuses on the pass. side kick panel and they are all good. Is there any relays or anything else? the local auto parts store can't even get any parts, anyone know where I can buy 280zx parts?
