The transmission has plenty of fluid. I'm not sure how the Mechanic installed the transmission when the motor was done. But it seems like the Shifter works (car starts in Park and Neutral, Wont start in any other gear), we have towed it. When I put the Transmission in R, D, 1 or 2 nothing happens it just sits there and wont move. Guess I'll have to take out the tranny and check all the connections. Thanks for the feedback

It is an Automatic transmission. I purchased a Monza performance exhaust header. And it looks like it needs a vacuum connections from the exhaust header to the motor I don't know if this could cause the transmission to not work

When I got my 77 280z it was running great the transmission was shifting fine but I had a motor problem. I got the Motor Rebuilt and now that it's installed the transmission will not shift. The Mechanic installed everything as it once was. There is a vacuum disconnected that goes from the Exhaust header, could that cause the tranny not to work? Please I need help if anyone else has had this problem.
