Engine Number question on 1971 240z with 260z engine
How did you have a 260z motor put in it in 71? They didn't exist.

Wet Sanding
Depending on the condition you could just grab some scotch brite to scuff it up. To answer your question yes that would work or you could get a bucket of water with a normal sanding block and wet sandpaper.

Oil thread
This has gone a little off from what my intial question was, I am not as concerned with the engine oil as I am with the differential and transmission. I have my own opinions about engine oil and these can be long and drawn out conversations with many varying opinions. I will bounce all the recommendations for the diff and trans off my shop manuals and go from there. Thanks!!!

Opinion needed (56k sorry pic heavy)
I am kind of on the fence with this one. I agree with the poster above as I spent 6k on a very clean car that was complete with super minor rust and good running drivetrain. My goal was to come out of it with a good runner and not have to do much work. If you are willing to spend the time money and effort go for it. Just depends on what you are looking for.

Oil thread
There is much debate as to what oil to use in the engine but I am looking more specifically at the trans and differential. What is everyone using? I am fairly set on using 75w90 in the diff due to how it seems to do in my S2000 but what about the transmission? Probably should have mentioned that I own a 72 240Z, completely stock.

Oil thread
Thank you!

Oil thread
Is there an oil thread somewhere? I need to change the trans and diff oil and was curious as to what everyone is using.
