so what does the swap take? are there any major modifications or is it just about making new engine mounts?

pics??? is the dash cap u used as a mold still functional???
  7. xxxpatsabxxx replied to Tarmac's post in a topic in Interior
im thinking about buying a full cap. do they look good??? if u have installed one can u send me some pictures? and does anyone know if the velcro will be sufficient in holding it down? my dash is really messed up and i dont want to do the spray foam procedure.
  8. here are more that didnt fit. my brother's 1985 300zx turbo and my car sitting next to each other and my severely cracked dashboard. has anyone tried out those molded dash covers b4? or dash mats?
  9. ok so pictures of the car sanded at 40 grit. most of the rust has been removed and the body is ready for bondo and fiberglass. the bumper has been removed also and i polished it with "Mothers : Mag Polish" looks like new its amazing. but im going to remove the rear bumper today and do the same. i bled out the bumper shocks as you can see in one of the pictures.
  10. ok awesome well i checked it out and the plate is faded out... all i can make out is the workd color. =/ but the shock isnt really giving up. i bled the gas but it just wont budge. ok this is the update. i have this spray that loosens up bolts so i sprayed it in between the gap of the shock and i undid the bolt on the opposite side of the phillip screw and it worked. does it matter how much space i take off? can it still fit?
  11. oh and by the way my aim is xxxpatsabxxx if u have it just send me an im and tell me ur from the forums so i can get to know u better
  12. can u tell me where u bought the parts to restore it. and the name of the paint because my car was resprayed the blue color it is now but in some areas there is that brown color.
  13. hey decided id drop by... the car looks amazing. can u tell me how i can get bumpers like yours? is the collapsing process the same in the rear?
  14. hahaha yea well im on the other side of the 215 not the old ppl side =P. so its a 280 hood eh? wow. never woulda known. well if i have enough money ill swap a manual tranny in. and its the driver side door panel. if u look closely in one of the pictures u can see a long dent in it. do u know what tranny will swap cleanly? yea but its just alot of little things that need to be done. im going to take some pictures tomorrow of how it looks sanded and if all goes well they should be on the site at around mid day. =)
  15. well i just tried to remove my dash. i noticed i have ALOT more cracks then the example. =/ but i got the top screws off but when i got to the last one.... stripped it. =( so i need to go to buy a stripped screw remover from somewhere. more money down the drain. : ' ( and i tried to knock some dents out of my door took about 30 mins to take the door panel off and figured out that knocking out the dents would be impossible. but i have the entire car sanded with 40 grit and im going to move up to a finer grit tomorrow morning. not a very good day for me.
