  1. Pulled the L24 today and began prepping for the L28 to go in.
  2. Will an L28 engine bolt directly to a original 240Z Automatic Transmission? I am looking to use the Z for Bracket Racing and the automatic trans will provide the greatest continuity between runs. What modification, if any need to be made? I have not seen this subject covered anywhere in this forum. Thank you for your time.

Well, it has been three years and I have the Z how I want it to look. By no means am I finished. I have a L28 engine ready to go in and still have springs, brakes, exhaust and much much more to do. But here a some pics of how it looks as of today. Thanks for all the support over the past three years.
  4. This was taken two weeks after we got Zeke out of the body shop. BTW, we won first place in the asian category.
  5. I just put the Opals on my Z and really like the look. Hard decision.

I have had the same problem, Checked all the fuses, bulbs, cleaned the turn signal switch, checked power throughout. Was not getting power to the turn signal switch. Recently I put a full dash cap on. Found that the dash cap was not letting the flasher switch shut off all the way. trimmed it out a little so it would. Now the turn signals are working brighter then ever. Thanks for the info above.
  7. Scott, Did you end up going w/ the 225/45? What was the end result? I have purchased the same rims. Thanks for the info.
  8. Any photos of the interior. I am working through the same process. Moving slower than I'd like.
  9. Here is another way of looking at this project. I have an extensive rebuild going on, I have replaced all metal w/i 6" of the ground. Gotta love Colorado roads. If you have a three in square hole in your floor board, you will replace the floor. If you have a 1 foot square hole in the floor you will replace the floor. To me unless the car is a complete basket case, fix the usual panels. paint and enjoy. Very few of us will ever get back what we have invested in our cars. That is why fixing old cars is a hobby and very few can use it as a way of life. I already figured that I will have 30K in mine by the time I have it how I want it. Enjoy life, you only do it once.

I'd say send it elsewhere~ There is enough spam in my regular email account.
  11. The rear quarters looked intact. That thing had to have been submerged for the rust to attack where it did.
  12. My resolution (ie the big one) is to get mine back on the road before the snow melts! Two goals; 1) Receive back from body shop (Almost a year). 2) Rebuild Suspension/Brakes. What are yours?
  13. Congrats on finally getting home. Good luck in the new year.
  14. I would store it and fix it later on down the road. I have a friend that had a challenger when he was a teenager. He is now over forty and just got done with a complete resto-mod of the car. He had it in storage for over 2o years. He can now afford to put the money in the car, that it deserves. Good luck with whatever you decide.
  15. I have found that any restoration/modifications and time to complete will be multiplied by two. It is a personal choice because you will not do this as an investment. There are cars on this forum that were free to cars that are valued over six digits. As I said, personal choice. Good luck in your discision.

I had the same issue with my Jeep a couple month back. Turned out to be the solanoid on the starter. Worth a check.
