Door Window Squeegee
I order a set. Though they do not look identical to the stock ones the price is right, I get to preserve the original SS and I will be happy to finally be rid of the brittle crumbled ones on my car that do not seal. Thanks for the write up.

do you have any image editing software? or try a website like photo bucket or flickr- Vacuum leak problem
well have you tried fastwomans yogurt cup test? Vacuum leaks can be hard to trace. The main culprit on my car ended up being the intake/exhaust gasket but still I have lower vacuum than desired. BTW is your avatar your car? I like the paint scheme.- Pictures!!! I got pictures!!
Glad it got to you in one peice. I was concerned that it could get damaged considering how delicate the part is, that is why I sent it in the larger shipping box. I am happy it is going into a Z instead of sitting on my office desk. Looking forward to seeing pics when you get it sorted out.- The great BEFORE and AFTER thread
- Pictures!!! I got pictures!!
put them on youre hard drive. click go advanced, click manage attachments, click add files, click select files, find the picture/ pictures, click upload files. just worked for me (shown as the bottom pic). or put them on you hardrive, click advanced, click on the picture icon (second row on the right "insert image"), select from computer, click select files, choose files, this showed up as the first pic.- Pictures!!! I got pictures!!
Or try the manage attachments button. Are the photos on youre hard drive?- Looking for a smooth finished windshield gasket with no channel
http://www.vintagerubber.com/240z.aspx about halfway down the page on the right. edit: oops it says in testing phase.- gas tank help!?
Once you get the fuel system straightened out, I would suggest seafoam treatment for the first tank. You may also need to replace many if not all of the rubber hoses. remember to use hose for FI and FI clamps. Pic of sending unit. remember we love to see pics. click this link: http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fuel/g3filter/index.htm- 76 possible electrical problem
Wow! you finally got it! cool- Quarter window interior seal?
My replacement seals are the same as youres. I am thinking of ether putting the old ones back in or maybe taking the lip off of the old ones and somehow gluing them in. I am leaning towards replacing with the originals.- gas tank help!?
PM me and I can arrange to send it to you. But first off are you sure you're sending unit is shot? The spare I have has been tested and works. regarding your tank, it still may be salvageable. You would get more advice if you could send pics. try aiming a camera down the filler hole. When I first got my car it had quite a bit of rust from it sitting pron for to long, this caused the fuel lines and pump to clog up. I drained the tank and swished a chain and new gas around in it till I had most of the loose crud out.I installed a fram (g3?) filter just outside the tank to catch anything before it could reach the fuel pump. I have only had to replace it once in 2 years. I am sure there are better treatments for your tank than what I did but it is worth it to try. You may wish to take it to a different radiator shop also for a second opinion.- here's some pics of my '77
HLS30-362806. color code 411 looks like ther are 6972 cars between.- Quarter window seals
I got the same replacements as you did Mine also did not have the extra rubber that conceals the gap between the inner window and plastic trim. I kept the old ones and may put them back in someday. I got mine from BD, I thought that was why I got cheap seals that don't match. they look great from the outside but fugly inside.- window trim on installed glass molding ?
Patience is key. I tried about three times on a warm day with lots of soapy water and almost gave up. Once I finally got a piece started using a small stiff plastic scraper it finally fell into place. Make sure youre ss trim is not bent. You can see in my avitar that there is no trim on the rear hatch, it's there now and looks way better. Again once you get one piece started it becomes easer. Good luck.- does this look bad?
Sorry to keep responding to my own thread but I thought I would say that the car is back from being alignment and I replaced the brake hard line (what a PITA!). I have taken it on a short test drive and it seems to handle much better. Thanks to everyone for the advice. Working on the front steering and suspension ended up being a little easer then I thought, there were a few snags but that is always to be expected. I did note the condition of the bushings, not good at all, so that is coming next. I am going to try to go with rubber as much as possible as I am not racing the car and would prefer a smooth over harsh ride. Thanks again.- gas tank help!?
It just so happens that I have a spare tank for my 77 with the sending unit. I am not sure if I would part with it yet. but the sending unit I could perhaps send you. The tank is really clean on the inside but it has a 3/4" hole drilled in the bottom from the junk yard that I plan to weld up someday. Where is plateau?- What does 1977 280z shift knob look like?
Those pictures look like the knob on my car (77 5 speed), except for the shift diagram because mine is missing.- does this look bad?
Good to know. The firestone is just one block away. But I did count the rotation while replacing the rod ends. I did a short test drive to the firestone, it handeled and tracked well. but now I found something else: I have a leeking brake hard line the one leading to the right front caliper close to the battery. I will be posting on this new discovery soon. - CANNOT get pics to upload!!
