I know what you meen. After my car had been painted at least 3 times the lines became a little "blurry". I got some of it back before I painted it last but not like youres. Good job.

Welcome, I prefer the stock look, but it looks like you scored a nice z. Congratulations.
  7. Two things I have done that helped without a trany jack are: you can support the rear of the trany with a strap and a pipe or wood block through the shifter hole and using a jack to lift the rear of the engine to help align it to the transmission when reinstalling it.
  8. may not be what you have in mind: you can see the two little "nubs".
  9. Coolant temp sensor and or conections. Sounds like you have found it. My car had the same problem with similar symptoms

Usually we turn to FastWoman to solve our fuel problems, So If I saw this thread earlier I would suggest that she check with FastWoman as she has done, and FastWoman solved Fastwomans problem. But really, I have noticed a lot of the interior firewall terminals on my car have the same corosion problems. Perhaps it is prudent to clean them all before a similar problem occurs.

Anywhere but the doors. Please do not cut holes in the doors. I hate that. Well it's you're car. I have mine behind the seats. the PO put them there, in the doors, in the pillars and cut holes in the center console. It cost me a little to replace the parts needed to fill up all of the holes, but I left the ones behind the seats. They sound preatty good but I am no audiofile.
  16. Is there enough head room?
  17. picture?

    very nice!
  22. Yes that is repairable but check for rust. to pull out the dents I would weld a block on it and use a slide hammer, a little hammer and dolly work and heat shrinking. It should be fine. or you could cut out and weld in a strait piece but I think straiting the original would work out better.
  23. You're trouble seems different than mine but you do have the same car and you're symptoms seem similar. Perhaps you're vacuum leak is from a bad manifold gasket??
  24. Hard to describe. sort of sweet sort of plastic burning. but not coolant. Anyhow the smoke has burned off. The car sounds totally different now, and runs way smoother. I am thinking valve adjustment next
  25. Thant's just bizarre.
