  1. :stupid:Yes, but did you notice they gave the advice with out being pricks about it? I love how you're being so helpful now though. You just gave me the advice I've been looking for this entire time. "The real answer for heat transfer is to either run the plastic holders for insulation, or move to a Pallnet-Style Rail where the injectors float and don't have any (or very little) heat transfer possibility." It's too bad we had to get into a pissing match for you to help me.
  2. By the way if you were curious. This is what I was talking about.
  3. Thanks for all the input. I'm not actually looking for the seal kit. My car had gaskets on the mounting brackets. I have been told a few people, and very rudely by one guy on another forum, that they were most likely not originally installed and may have been added later to alleviate a heat transfer issue on 75-76 models. Newer brackets are made of plastic therefore the gaskets are unnecessary. I'm just going to get the newer brackets.
  4. Thanks to both of you for the feedback, I was wondering if the gaskets were even necessary. Thats the first place I've seen a dampner for a z so far.
  5. Does anyone know were I can find a fuel damper for a 75 280z? I've tried NAPA, Autozone, OReilly's, and even ebay but no luck. Also I'm putting in new fuel injectors but I can't find gaskets. I can get the seals but no one has the gaskets. New mounting brackets don't come with gaskets, are they designed to be used with out gaskets?
  6. I get it. Its a bad pump. I came to the same conclusion that zbane did when I realized that the pumps didn't come with a strainer and the stores couldn't order them. (and I couldn't find a strainer on line anywhere either) What pump did you decide to go with after you realized the Airtex one was a rip off?
  7. The stores don't sell the strainer and can't order it. Can anyone recommend a reliable pump that isn't going to break me. I don't particularly like skimping on parts but I am working on a tight budget here.
  8. I have a 1975 280z. I purchased a new Fuel Pump (Airtex Products - Master Parts). Does any one know where I can get a strainer for this part? The old strainer is a little bit to large for the new one (plus I tore it a little bit trying to get it out anyway) and I can not find the strainer at Autozone or O'Reilly (they both sell the pump but it does not come with a strainer) The part number on the pump is E8312. Otherwise can anyone recommend a different fuel pump at a reasonable price(one that comes with a strainer) for my Z (and where can I get it)
