  1. Worth the wait!! Tomorrow night (after my wonderful wife is asleep), I will start the process of installing a new exhaust system on the bike. Next week, the 280z will be taken in for restoration. I am hoping to get it back by the end of February. It will be painted the same color as the bike. On a side note, both my wonderful wife and our unborn baby are doing great. We are now at 35 weeks. Only 5 more weeks, before I have my second little girl. What a joy!!:classic:
  2. Thanks. You will be the first I write. She is a great wife. We are expecting our first child in February so we have decided to buy my "toy" now. Along with the car, the new rims and tires (15x7 rims with 205's in the front and 225's in the rear - read the reviews in this forum before I purchased them:classic:), and the air dam, we are having the insides gutted (fix the rust spots and install new carpet) and fix the rust spots on the outside. The first week of January, we are having both the car and our motorcycle painted HOK ultra orange. Did I mention, she was a great wife. This is a great forum. Thanks. Tim
  3. That airdam replaces the front valence and bumper. It mounts where the valence would go. __________________ Stephen Blakeney Thanks Stephen for the reply. Is the area in red, part of the valence?
  4. Merry Christmas everyone, For my birthday, my wife purchased me a 1975 280z:). I am its fourth owner. It has only 58,000 document miles ( I have all of the paperwork from the P.O.'s). I have purchased an air dam for it (MSA Type II). I searched the forum and looked at the instructions on how to mount it. But I am not about to find the information needed. Per the instructions from MSA, I am to remove the lower front valence. Looking at the FSM I download, it does not mention a lower front valence. Looking at the sections under "bumper and radiator grille - pg. BF-7, I see the items "front bumper sides". Am I to remove those also? If so, what does the air dam mount too? I have removed the old bumper and its hardware. I have included pictures. Thanks in advance for your help.
