Pricey Z
Oh yeah- ONLY for me! Plus I figure if I go buy a new Z it will cost $30k plus anyway... so why not have the one I like the most of all for the same price.

Pricey Z
Wowza! A fine car no doubt, but $30k? I've already decided that by the time I get done with my full resto I'll be in the $30k neighborhood... but I know it won't actually be worth that. I like the interior... a lot... it's giving me some ideas!

Or you could be content with the fact that you stated your point, a good and just one at that, and then ignore any other responses to the thread.

E- That is the point... the vehicle was not being driven, so registration shouldn't be a problem unless the vehicle was a danger to others. But as Stephen has stated, CA law (and law in many other if not all states) says that a vehicle parked on public streets must be registered. Laws should not be arbitrary, they are intended to protect us from each other and sometimes ourselves. My 2 pennies... I saw pictures of the car in other posts... it was a work in progress, (read: not pretty)... The person probably reported it because they felt it was an eye sore. Just my presumption.

That's the part that doesn't make any sense. What makes a car w/o "properly displayed registration" any more of a danger to citizens than any other car parked on a street... Really is just a way for "the man" to stick it to ya. But that being said ALL of my vehicles are registered/insured at all times and thankfully I'm at a point in my life where I can afford a house w/ garage to keep my vehicles and other property safe. Anyway... Sparx- sounds like you've got two options: 1) Pay the money 2) Part ways w/ the Z Well it sucks bud... try not to let "the man" keep you down.

Was it blocking a traffic lane? Was it reported stolen? I still fail to see a reason for the car to have been towed. What if someone stole a plate off a car... does that car get towed? Sounds like a BS way for a municipality to make more money off of it's residents. Hey isn't CA bankrupt... now it's starting to make sense.

ZCON 2010 July 28th-Aug 1st Nashville,TN
Man! Am I stoked to see your BRE Z Ron! I'm not bringing the Z this year but I'm driving up with the wife and son to "spectate" the show since it's only 8 hours to Nashville. We are driving up the night before and we grabbed a room at the Red Roof Inn in Franklin for like $59. Then we are headed over to Bryson City, NC so my 3yr old son can hang out with Thomas the Train Looking forward to seeing y'all there!
