I am replacing frt brakes pads on my 78.. My question is this.. Do i have to remove the master cyl cap to depress caliper piston and can the brakes be replaced without removing the caliper? Looks very simple.. Pull pins and anti rattle clips?

I just installed the 6 spoke 280 zx wheels>> the wheels came with 225 60 14's... I do not like the way the car drives with this tire..these wheels seem to be more offset toward fenders.. Can i now go back with 195 70 14 tires on these wheels with out rubbing?? The 195 70 14's appear to be much taller...

I have a slight clunk when i let out the clutch...i think it may be diff bushing or u joints.. Can the u joints be replaced or do i have replace the half shaft 78 280z? Please help..

George i may look at a little later.. I just purchased a set of 6 spoke rims.. If i do not like the way they look i may be very interested...

has anyone ever etched or stripped these wheels... i have seen some with out any clear or shine on them.. i think they look good this way..

My 78 280z had the same issue.. Found that it was a cracked vacumn hose,,,

when ever i pull up to a stop, the brakes seem to be holding car back..i can back up and they seem to free up.. can anyone tell me what might be the problem?? please help me out:(

No way!!! I had zx and in my book it is not a z car...

I REMOVED THE HAZARD SWITCH TODAY AND DECICED TO TAKE IT APART JUST FOR FUN.. I FOUND INSIDE CORODED CONTACTS.. I TOOK SANDPAPER AND CLEANED THEM JUST LIKE AN OLD SET OF POINTS.... REPLACED SWITCH AND ALL WORKS NOW....:laugh: 4 TINY SCREWS HOLD THIS SWITCH TOGETHER.. JUST THOUGHT THIS POST MIGHT HELP SOMEONE... THANKS FOR EVERYONES HELP IN DIAGNOSES..

We just replaced all the carpet in my 78 280....i noticed while tappin on the hazzard swich (mounted on console) the signal lights begin to work and the dimmer switch is now working... Is this possible that all these components are linked in someway.. I was going to replace the dimmer switch for the lights and signals.. Now i dont know what to do.. Please help me..

i thought about changing them to a more modern look... what do you think woud look good on it.. any suggestions? thanks again

i have a 78 280.. we are installing new molded carpet..we removed the parking brake lever and a broken plastic bushing fell out... i think we may have broken this bushing... were can i find one and what does this bushing do? please help...thanks..
