To fix the tach bounce insert a 50,000 ohm resistor in the line going to the tachometer. I put mine right at the coil. Try to get a 1 watt rated resistor. If the tach won't go the full range then lower resistance to 35000 ohms.

I bought a set of Z caps last week for $170. They were taken off the car when new and stored as the owner put mags on it. I thought the price was reasonable for almost new, 35 year old hub caps, and should look good when I put it back on standard 14" steel wheels on an original 60,000 mile car.

It is available to select countries, but I checked and sea mail is available to Kuwait. If classified as hazardous goods, the only way it can go is by sea, so you don't really have a choice. Have you checked with the POR15 company to see if they have an agent in Kuwait or surrounding countries ?

Why not ship it by post - sea mail ? You may not be able to have it shipped from the US - I know a lot of countries no longer have sea mail as an option, but you could look at countries such as the UK, Australia or Germany. Sure, it is going to take a lot longer, but at least you will get it eventually.

Not too much in the way of classic car mags, unlike the UK. Try searching for the Datsun forums in Australia - you will get more local information.
  11. Why 7 more times ? Have you got a V8 in there ?

  15. You could also reconsider rebuilding the shocks if they are the originals. The rebuilder should also be able to firm them up to a stiffer rate if required. Here is one vendor, but there will be plenty of them. http://www.classicautoshocks.com/rebuilt.htm

Is it just me, or is the "Vendors" section missing ? In the top drop down box, there is a section for vendors, but this is missing on the main page, as per this screen shot.

  18. Is the Zhome website still going ? Can't seem to bring it up at all, but it still comes up on Google.
  19. Many thanks Julio. I will give them a call on Monday. Hopefully calling from Australia might make it easier to convince them !
  20. What was the source of the vinyl ? Can you provide a name and email address please. One of the problems we have "down under" is that the kits are made for LHD vehices only, which means that they are of no use to those of us that have RHD cars because of the handbrake and the extra handle on the passenger door - which is of course on the "wrong" side ! The only option is to buy the fabric and make our own, but I haven't as yet tracked anyone down that manufactures it or sells it by the yard.
