I'd love to get my hands on an s30 thats gets 30 mpg. I can see the L6 getting 30mpg on the highway, but my civic will get 40 mpg highway if i keep my foot out of it, which is hard because ive got a 4.11 and power till 7k. I do the 1/4 in 16.7 E.T. with a 1.5L doing 130hp, or there abouts. I did that E.T. with stock exhaust that designed to flow a 92 hp vx motor, cold air intake, and a failing input shaft bearing in my tranny. I think i could acheive low 16's if i got header back exhaust and a new tranny Will the inline 6 get that 30 mpg or was it a swap?

Thanks for the replies. Sometimes i just want to take out a loan from my bank and go car shopping. I used to own a 76 280z, but the motor locked up. Had to sell it off as a project car. Cars are my passion, and i'm passionate about my cars. If it was up to me i'd trade my civic off in an instant. I've already brought my civic back from neglected status. All new bushings, wheel bearings, Big brakes up front, integra swar bars, Rebuilt, by me, JDM motor to replace the one i busted. Lots of stuff ive done to this civic; i've got about 6k in it so far. I've got documentation on this car all the way back to 27k miles, no rust, i know everything thats been done to it. Hell if i had an acura integra GSR motor in it i could call my civic an integra gsr clone. I won't stop dreaming about a Z car until i get another good one. I've been pricing cars that i want for my next ride, but all the good rear wheel drive cars are non existent in my price range, except a z32 or s30 or a 240sx, but I'd rather have the s30. The old 76 i had still out handles my civic to this very day, and all it had was a sagging old suspension and 2 new front tires. This civic is the only FWD car ive owned, and don't get me wrong its a great car, but im a RWD man at heart. I won't stop college till i get a degree, i won't stop pushing forward till i get what i want;I'll never give up.

What Other Z/Datsun would/do you own and why?
240z is my pick. I've owned a 280z, 280zx, 280zxt, 300zxt.

I currently own a 1995 civic hatchback, but i'm trying to get back into the Z community. I've owned a 76 280z, three 280zx's one of them being turbo, and an 85 300zxT. I love the entire line of z-cars. I live in oklahoma where there is a lack of Z interest. I want to find a 240z-280z to buy, but i am a poor college kid, trying to make it on my own. I am really looking to trade my civic for a Z. . . . . . Pausing for laughter. . . . I know it seems impossible, but i figure someone out there wants a super reliable daily driver thats gets 30+ mpg. So i figured i'd put the word out and maybe i'll get a bite. I look forward to one day becoming a proud Z car fanatic again. Thanks for taking the time out of your day. Have a good one!
