Check the tps sensor. In fact check all the sensors just to be on the safe side.

First thing I would do is to check all the connectors, making sure they are clear of corrosion and making good contact. Also, have you done a tune up? Give some details on the car. Did you just buy it? Been sitting long?

280 ZX Auto - Manual conversion
Easiest way to go about it would be to get all the parts off of a another 280zx. You'll need the tranny, drive shaft, clutch pedal assembly, flywheel, pilot bearing, clutch & pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch master cylinder & lines, slave cylinder, interior trim for the shifter hole....ect.. That should get you started!

81 280zx
Here's a few pics of the 81', it's my baby so to speak...let me know what you think. Basically she's a 1981 base model with manual rack, no power windows or rear wiper, no cruise control. Here's the parts list: Engine: Triple SK carbs 40mm Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and alumminum flywheel Crane XR300 ignition with MSD Mustang coil 2 1/2" custom exhaust with Flowmaster Electric fan All a/c components removed Wheels: Enkei 92 16x8 Riken Raptor 225/50zr16 Brakes:(not installed yet) Drilled rotors for all four corners pads to be determined at installation..any suggestions??? Suspension: Tokico lowering springs New struts Rear strut tower bar Interior: Stock with aftermarket shift knob Body: Installed 82 front and rear bumpers 82 taillights Modified Lincoln MKZ badges Semi-gloss black paint on hood, cowl, and roof That's about it....for now:D

Hey guys (& gals), just reporting in to say hi. I've got several Z's at the moment ranging from a 72 up to 83. My 81 is the only one running right now, the others are projects and parts cars:classic:. I'll post some pics up later. Cheers, Ed
