Thanx for the response. I'm not sure which distributer is in there, hell I have been at work too much since i got the car and have not even been able to drive it I will look at it when I get a chance. there is definitly a blue wire there. not positive on the other color wire but checked them both for voltage and found voltage on both !?!

The stock seats are recovered and the paint is a second layer of black pearl. The pin stripes are not the original silver and red. The original owner redid them in silver and yellow. the yellow is pretty worn, I plan on removing them.

Just came home today with my first Z car !!! First problem I want to tackle is that the tachometers is stuck at 3500RPM. The previous owner put in a new distributer and I have found a pair of wires cut that have no home

Howdy fellow Z owners ! Just purchased a 1978 280z Black Pearl. Picked it up in Kansas City and drove it back to St Louis. The engine is solid and the body is in good (but not perfect) condition. I cant wait till it's warmer here and I can get to work making improvements. I'm sure I will need all of your knowledge and assistance in the future and thank those who do respond in advance.
