Thats still the bonnet you sold the car to me with as well, was 3 days work but looks the goods now. Im not sure how keen he is to do another one he spent 255 hours on this car, gives you and idea of what i spent too. But now i see it finshed i know it was worth it to get it looking good.

Here are some pics of my car back from paint, a little overcast today so will get some better pics when the suns out. Has come up really good. Now my turn to find the missing and restore and fit the rest. Brad

The top mold on the front window and the door weather molds on your parts car, do you want to sell these?

Is this the one that go's on your rear lights panel? if so how much was it? Do you bring your stuff in from jappan your self or buy them throught someone, i am chasing some parts of Yahoo. Cheers Brad

The bits in blue i dont have any of these or the rear guard bits so i will buy anything you have. Once i have all the moldings im going to drop the down to a repair shop and have them all fixed depending on the quote (i hear there quotes can make a grown man cry) Once mine is finshed i will drive up and shout you a few rounds for all your help( and to check out your car).

i can steal a pedal box from a 240-260z i think so im only really chasing a door window molding, front and rear guard trims. Cheers Brad

There are about 4 Z outside and 3 inside i think he mite like them alittle . Most of the cars are owned by a younger guy who i think keeps this guy around to work on all his datsuns and isuzu berlette's. He comes from the viczcar forum thats where i got his number. I dont think he use's much bog he wields and glass(fibre) to stop any chances of rust, he likes to hit the car harder then i would to show his work is soild. I told him i planed to fit the badges and he said you can glue them on, cos he dont like unnecessary holes in the car. He only works on cars when he feels like he said he wouldnt do mine cos it was to much work but the young guy talked him into it. i asked if he was keen to do another 240k and he wasnt sure. And yer when its done i will let you know you can come see how it has turned out.

Nar the body work is beening done by a older retired guy, who seems to really know his stuff in his massive shed(ie about 10 other restored cars in there mostly datto's) I hope to have some pics of the finshed car this week. Then its over to me to find the missing/damage parts to replace and put it all back together. Brad

I went down and looked at Ben's(otomoto) 240k today and im missing the strips on the outsides of the doors. I guess that is the stripe your talking about. Also so two chrome/steel bits on the rear fenders for my car are totaly twistered so somthing with a few dents would be better. pedal box shifter also keen. Joys of buy a car in pieces neither of us really sure what was there. Cheers Brad

I got another pair of Guards of Ben at Otomoto today so hope these ones turn out ok. Looks like the bonnet will have to be repaired which is ok. Thanks for your help, go to see the car again on friday mite post up some progress shots then. Brad

I need a manual pedal box, shifter for my 4 speed and those chrome bits on the back of the gold car . Seems like i need alot, need to check the chrome parts i have, i was going over them in my head at work and i think im missing the door/window chrome bit too grrr

Have ask Kent was like that when i brought it off him.Think it was while he was trying to fit a RB26. How much is he chasing FG parts are about 1200 bonnet and 600 each guard. Panel beater says he mite be able to get some.

Congrats on the engineering, 6.5in haha not good for my planed 8.5 fronts and 9.5-10.5 rears. Kent mite not have his done but one of his old projects is at the panel shop and hope to have it back with paint by year end. Then just need to put it all back together . He is not too bad to deal with in person, he owns a very nice 240z, brought alot of crap through him. i dont much like all the CF on his K but each to there own really. Back in the day some mite know him as the Editor at HPI i think.

Dont worry to much about what is said on Performance Fourms, everyone speaks there mind on there about how they think any car should look.

My front lip is the same no idea how im gong to mount it, probably just leave it for the body shop to worry about . Your cleaned up grill looks good, i was going to do the same with the crome but have just gone all black as the stocker will just be a spare for me, will post pics when i get it back.

Thanks mate i will give these measurements a look see, im just going to cover the whole top of the guard with 3m painters tap mark it all out and see what i think. Cheers

Hey guys i got some fender mirrors i was woundering if any one knew the point where these are normally mounted. also do any of you guys know where i can get a mirror fixed.

Yes them mirrors should be in my hands in the next week, tonka i have a two sets of mirrors(1200 and random) some where in my garage before i said i want GTR mirrors. they just dont give you the right angle i found.

Mmmm thats a big jigsaw puzzle i will be doing the same puzzle in the next 12 months . Looks good tho.
