Something to think about.
GRRRREAT MATE, Terrific, MORE !, MORE !, MORE !, YES, YES, YES. (Don't worry Carl, I'm O.K., haven't got the wobbly boots on or suffering from an overdose of Vegemite. I'm just getting into practice for when the Luckiest Man in the World posts that promised photo). C'mon Bryan, where is it ?. You've had 24 hours. Rick.

Oh, Rusty 1, You poor, poor man. I have the impression that your afliction is causing you a great deal of concern. My best advice is that you get a grip on yourself. Rick.

Something to think about.
There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them... Fortunately, there's nothing wrong with MY mem----aahh, WHAT ????? Rick.

Location Poll
:classic: :classic: Come, come, now Alan, you'll have our septic tank friends thinking that we all play arial ping pong. You neglected to mention Rugby and League. You mentioned the rivalry between South Aus. and Victoria but what about the State of Origin series between Queensland and New South Wales. You put cane toads and cockroaches together on the footy field and sparks fly. It's all referred to as FOOTY. Rick.

Bumping noise
Yes Keith, :tapemouth would certainly be in any combination depicting frustration. Mate, I have had the tank out but it's well secured by the straps. Gavin suggested the diff mount and that appears to be o.k. Bumper mounting bolts are tight and the exhaust system checks out o.k. Carl, that's something I haven't checked out. Didn't occur to me. I'll have a gander at it and get back to you tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Rick.

Bumping noise
No, mate, I thought of that. Removed the spare and tools, took her out and the noise was still there. I've crawled into the rear on my back and pushed and shoved the hatch with out luck. (No mean feat when you're 60 going on 25 and have a dicky back). I'm just about at my wits end on this one. It's got me STUMPED. Rick. Smilies are handy but I wish there was one for FRUSTRATED !!!!!!!

Second Childhood
Behave yourself please. You try emulating Victor and you just might end up copying Zs-ondabrain. Remember, she's an old lady. Rick.

Bumping noise
:tapemouth :tapemouth :tapemouth G'Day again Gav, Mate, I've watched the mechanic trying to wobble the wheel, use a long screw driver to try levering various parts and I've even taken her back to Pedders and asked them to put the car on their shock absorber tester but STILL can't find where the bloody noise is coming from. I'll have a close look at the rear gear box mount. Talk about frustration. I'd be tearing my hair out if I wasn't so concious of my ever enlarging bald spot. Thanks to EVERYONE for your input. Oh, yes,-----to add insult to injury, the battery kept losing charge. After testing the battery and finding it o.k. I checked out the regulator. OOOOHHHH, what a mess !!!!!! CORROSION !!! oh well, there goes another original part. Rick.

Bumping noise
G'Day Gav, You suggest the diff mount ????? but the noise is Definitely coming from the region of the right rear suspension. Do you think a shot diff mount noise would "TRAVEL" and appear to come from the rear right ??????????????? Billcap, I didn't realise that I had not been more specific till I reread my first post. It sounds for all the world like a buggered shock absorber but I've just recently replaced all four. When does the noise occur ??? Every time the rear right tyre hits a good bump. Rick.

Bumping noise
ROFL G'Day Gav, Nice try mate but I had "Precious" into Pedders suspension just twelve months ago and had all bushings etc. replaced. Brakes are fine. No, Hauserdaddy, It ain't the U Joints mate. Keep the ideas flowing you blokes, I need all thehelp I can get. Rick.

Ahh, here at last!
I'm away for a week and come back to discover that the sand gropers have "lifted" a beautiful example of Z perfection from the eastern states. Congratulations on your find Hayden, she looks great. Gavin, A good coat of wax does wonders for a Zeds appearance mate and the dust just hoses off. No dust covers for me, I like to look in on "Precious" quite often. Hmmm, lifting the "Skirt" of a car cover to look at what is beneath could suggest a tendency toward voyeurism mate. Hi there Steve, Yes, mate, there IS only ONE "Precious" mate and she's all mine. (Had another offer to buy her from me a couple of days ago). Rick.
-
Bumping noise
No, slav, I still haven't found the problem. Had the suspension pulled down a couple of times since but the damned "Bump" is STILL there. Talk about frustration. Rick.

PrOxLaMuS, If you ain't DEAF yet, man you soon WILL be. Here in the great Land Down Under you'd be a dead cert to get pulled up by the boys in blue with that set up mate. Rick.

A question for edified members
:devious: :devious: :devious: Carl, now your talking about spongeRs. I guess you'd know how to tell when a poly is lying, wouldn't you mate ??????? His mouth is open. I don't know about you lot but, down here, we have a glut of politicians. What we lack are Statesmen. There's a bloody hell of a big difference. Rick.

Zeds on history channel
Whenever I go into a bookshop I check out the books on Classic Cars to see if anything new is to be found regarding the second love of my life-----the ZED Car. Every book I have looked at , (so far), refers to the 280 as the car with which Nissan "Lost The Plot". It would appear that had Nissan simply updated and refined the 260 they would have retained more of their market. As one book staes, "There is nothing essentially wrong with the 280ZX, provided you don't expect it to be a velour trimmed 240Z". Rick.

Zeds on history channel
Hey, thanks Nate, I only caught around ten minutes of the show but what I saw was 240's going through their paces on an obstacle course and on the open road, followed by a couple of 260's doing the same thing. No sound on the T.V. just the picture. I had to leave before the 260's finished their act. At the time I was in the golf clubhouse and my team mate was calling me to get down to the 1st "T". Well, there ya go George, You now have something to look forward to mate. RETIREMENT !!!!!! (Best start planning for it NOW). Rick.

The rich are getting richer.....
Caen Fed asks, "Does your dishwasher talk? if not tell me where I can buy one asap". No Fred, it can't talk but I reckon it would be a bloody poor substitute for a warm blooded woman to cuddle into on a cold night. That is, of course, unless you enjoy wet dreams. Rick.

Stolen 240z in socal!
Stands to reason that a car as distinctive as this one would be shipped far away from where it was stolen so, regardles of where you are in the States, it COULD turn up in YOUR area. Rick.
