  1. There's a few things "not right" with the car, seat uphostelry, carpet on the transmission tunnel, passenger side mirror, but again a very nice restomod in my opinion. If these cars start selling for somewhere near the asking price then it is good news for the value of our cars! Bad news if you're still looking to buy one!
  2. Looks to me to be a very nice restomod car. The price is too high, but we've been saying that a lot lately !
  3. I could have the bits shipped to you in YYC, Jim!
  4. Thanks Hank, ignore my PM I sent. It just asks the same questions! Mark
  5. Hey, any of our Ontario members know what's happening at Whitehead Peeformance? I have not heard from Mike for 2 1/2 weeks and a look at their web page shows openings for Head mechanic, mechanic, and counter person! I am a little concerned about what's going on there!
  6. Wow, that is impressive! Nice work, I'm also partial to blue Zeds!
  7. Nice to know I'll be able to recoup my investment if I decide to ever sell mine ::
  8. No worries Hank, that is a nice looking Zed! Are those 15" wheels? I'm rethinking my decision to stay with 14" wheels for my car. Like you I have the steels and D caps tucked away.
  9. Nice looking car! The override bars on the bumpers are not correct for the year, though. The price seems high, hope they get it!
  10. Now that's a stretched wheel base! I can't see any sign of reinforcement of the chassis in the photos of the 250 replica. The engine bay looks rough, and the steering column appears to be rectangular! I would need a lot more info on how the work on the chassis was done. The interior looks well done though.
  11. How do you extend the wheelbase? You'd have to cut the car in half wouldn't you?
  12. I second that! Went looking for some pics of your car and couldn't find any!
  13. You're right Jim , Lighting makes a huge difference. Here are some of pics Mike sent. They will be disassembling everything to start the rebuild. Getting excited again:bunny:
  14. Hey Chris, thanks for the report! Mike is going to send me some pictures which I will post once I get them. The colour is supposed to be the original 903 blue. I've only seen the original colour in the interior sections, hopefully they got the correct match! The car was painted in a Mercedes blue according to the previous owner. With such a rare olour combo I felt the proper thing to do was go back to the original paint code. Mark
  15. Quick update on my car, it is waiting at the body shop for Mike to inspect and should be back to White Heads' by Wednesday!
  16. Wow, that really is a great find, for such a low VIN for it to be rust free is incredible! I would start your own thread to document your progress and post lots of photos. I know that everyone on this site would love to hear the story of your find and watch the progress of your refresh! Mark
  17. Hey Bbear, That's the conclusion I've come to as well! As fun as it would be to drive back, I would have been sick about all the hazards you mentioned! I didn't really want such a concours quality finish for just that reason.I plan to use the car as a summer time daily driver, as well as track days at Castrol Raceway and I know that first blemish is going to hurt! I would love to see some pictures of your car.Looks like you had a nice solid base for a refresh! Mark
  18. OOPS! I looked back at the rest of the thread! Your car looks fantastic, I hope to see it and you next year, maybe at Datsun meet in Kelowna .
  19. Nice! I see your body shop uses a high resolution camera, so you can see lots of detail. Wish mine did! Any idea when the body will be done?
  20. The links work for me, not sure what is happening.
