Wrecked back end- need help
This shows a picture of my car upside down. Where the back lower panel is, on the picture it shows a paper towel in between where the spare tire well is and where the lower panel connects. The space is only big enough for the paper towel to fit in. Does anybody know how much space is between the spare tire well and the lower panel? The rear end had been pushed in from a wreck apparently. Thank you very much- TimZ

potential setup
I knew nothing about car engines, etc. a year ago. I'm trying to do this restoration myself, except for info I get from people like you. I couldn't do it without your help and you don't know how much I appreciate it. I get on this site and other sites almost every night, trying to learn. I learn so much I get confused sometimes, and ask for your help. thank you very much, TimsZ

potential setup
I have a 71 240Z. I was going to put a f54 block, e31 head, close ratio 5 speed, lightened flywheel, aluminum driveshaft, 200sxt diff. with 4.11 gears. SU carbs. It's just for street. Would 3.90 or 3.70 gears be better? Or a different head? Any info or help? thank you very much.

harnesses,wires,etc. holddowns
I can't remember ever seeing anything about these. I don't know what their called. they are the bendable metal with rubber coverings that hold down the harnesses, wires. I cut mine out with a spot weld cutter and was going to redo the rubber. Can you buy or make the whole piece? thank you, TimsZ

luggage area holes
underneath the carpet in the luggage area, facing to the front of the shock towers and behind tool compartment, are two holes that look like speaker holes. The P.O. had sheet metal riveted over top of them, covering them up. Is there a reason for these? Can they be covered and welded closed? Thank you, Timsz

Different makes and kinds of lower control arms.
You get what you pay for. Is this true? I see arizona Z lower control arms for more money than other companies. TT, Modern M.S., etc. Is thier L.C. arms better mechanically or is it just the way there made or both. Any info would be really appreciated. Thank You, TimsZ

restoring clear plastic guage covers
I have my dash out of the car. I thought I'd take my gauges apart and try to clean the clear plastic guage covers. they had paint on them. alot of paint! they had minor scratches also. I tried "goof off" on a paper towel and it worked great. no damage to plastic. I also bought Meguiars plastx kit. it comes with buffer you put in your drill and microfiber cloth. works great also. I have like new guage covers. 71 Z. thanks, TimsZ

weld-in camber plates?
I see weld-in camber plates for my 71. I also see where welding in strut towers where plates go is not a good ( strong ) place to weld because of layers of metal. should I weld camber plates in or not? any opinions. thank you, timsz.
