71 brake dual circuit pressure switch wire.
Does a wire even go there ? I don't see it on any wiring diagrams. I have a wire going to it ( I did it, it wasn't like that, I think ) from a 3 pin connector on the passenger side. The wires on the mate of the connector go thru the dash. Y/G and R/B wires. 1 pin is empty. I have the wire to the pressure switch mated with the Y/G wire. Is that right ? Any help ? 12/71 blower motor wiring help
I have the Honda blower motor upgrade for my 71. I see other posts where your not sure where the wires go. Is there any updates on these wires ? There is a black wire on the connector marked 2. On the connector coming off the motor that connects to the connector marked 2, there is no black wire. Does the motor need a ground ? I wired it per upgrade directions. That was quite awhile ago, though. There is the small 3 pin connector also. It only has 2 wires going to it. Red and blue. Any help with these wires please ? Thank you very much.

71 steering shaft help
I made a shaft without flexible coupling going from firewall to steering rack, as in pic. In the one pic you can just barely see the oblong hole for the steering lock. In the other pic you can see most of the hole. The spring was taken out in the pic where you can see most of the lock hole. To make the hole appear with the spring in, you have to push really hard on the shaft at the steering wheel. Can I leave that spring out if I don't want a steering lock ? I need the splines to engage a little farther in also. I will be able to do that without the spring. I will try it without the spring. I don't know if you need that spring for some reason. Thank you very much. Also I have push button start.

Combo and T/S wiring help 12/71
My wiper wires. The wires on top are r/wh, r, r/y. On the bottom thet are gr/r, wh/bla, gr/bla, gr/y, wh/r, and gr/bla. I could use help with those wires also. Different than wiring diagram. Thank you very much.

Combo and T/S wiring help 12/71
I see on other posts, pics where there are big red and big wh/red wires for the headlights. Can anyone tell me where these wires go to. I see on the basic S30 wiring diagram that the blue with wh stripe goes to the wiper. Also the red goes to the washer and the gr/wh goes to the lights. Is that correct ? In the first pic there's a red, gr/wh, gr and 2 blacks. ( 1 black goes to the other side ). In the second pic theres a y/gr, y/bla, r/blu and bla. Any help with where these go ? Dave refurbished the combo switch. If you want a pic of the turn signal side, I can do that. Thank you very much.

Emergency brake hitting aluminum driveshaft on 71
A little stiff. I tried to move it before, but i'll try again. It's hard to get at. Can't get tools up in there. I took the cotter pin off the rod yesterday. Removed the rod. Is there easy ways to get cotter pins out when there's no room ? I messed with it and messed with it for an hour or so. Finally it came out. Thank you very much.

Emergency brake hitting aluminum driveshaft on 71
I have an aluminum driveshaft for my 71. In the pic you can see that the driveshaft yoke will hit the E-brake. MSA has a pic of both stock and aluminum driveshafts side by side. The driveshaft is bigger and the yoke is bigger. Does anyone know what can be done so the E-brake can be used or do I have to go without an E-brake ? Thank you very much.

I got the hatch open from the inside. Now what can I do to fix the problem. Should I move the lock part on the hatch forward or backwards ? Or should I just play with it ? Also if you get a new lock or are restoring a 71Z, leave the hatch panel off until you have the hatch opening and closing properly. Thank you.

I put the new lock and catch on my car, now it won't open. I tried different keys, etc. The key turns the lock. I pushed it down. Tried many ways. What can I do ? Thank you very much. 71Z.

71 hatch lock question
I don't understand the hatch lock parts I have. The lock without the key has 3 flanges for 3 notches that are on the early Z's. ( 3 notches on the hatch door ). The lock with the key has 4 flanges. I see that they have a 4 flange lock at the Zstore. They say that early Z's will need mods so the 4 flange lock will fit the early 3 notch hatch. Having said that, will the lock with the key work on my 71 if I cut another notch in the hatch. Also, am I missing something on the lock without the key ? ( 71, 3 flange lock ) Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for all the info. I haven't worked on the car for a couple days. It's been over 90 degrees here. I sweat profusely and get half sick. Hopefully tomorrow. Thank you.

I don't understand what the diameter has to do with it. My flywheel is 12 inches total diameter, counting gear ring. Now what ? Should I use the turbo collar ? The turbo collar is shorter ( 34.55mm ) than the ZX collar. Is that right ? Should the collar be shorter or longer ? Thank you

Yes ,the steel rule is sitting on top of the fingers. The steel rule seemed to sit a lot leveler ( is that a word ? ) on the fingers. I have the other flywheel. I'll check it out. I'll try the MC and the slave cylinder also.

I have a 81-83 5 speed in my 71. I have an ACT street, race clutch and pressure plate. I have a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and a 1 1/2 inch clutch collar. I have a new master cylinder and a new non- adjustable slave cylinder. The car hasn't been driven. When the engine is running, it won't go into gear. It's been bled and the clutch fork and pushrod seem to be working properly. Do I need a different length collar ? The clutch release bearing is on properly, isn't it ? Do I have to adjust it at the master cylinder ? The pushrod on the slave cylinder seems to go out all the way though. I dropped the transmission to see if I had the disc on backwards ( I didn't ) and to see what size collar I had. Any help ? Thank you very much.

Corbeau seat attachment in 71
I have Corbeau brackets and seats . How do the brackets attach to car ? Do you put the bracket on the seat before putting in car? Do you just attach the 1 part of the bracket to the seat before putting in car? Bracket has 2 parts. Any help? Thank you.
