Hello all, just want to pass this along. I found a 72 240z sitting in a junkyard in Auburndale, fl. I took the rust free doors, fenders, plus carbs and manifold also snagged the bumpers that were in good cond. was told that car was there for almost a year without anything missing except tranny. Still has motor and diff. if anybody is interested plus some interior parts, but you have to act quickly because it has a big red x spray painted on the windshield which indicates that it has a date soon with the crusher. :sick:: All pro Auto Salvage 1425 Old Dixie Hwy. auburndale,fl 33823

Hello all, having trouble starting my 76 280z auto. It will not start in park but when you shift lever into n position it will start right up. I also noticed that when in park the vehicle will still roll not engaging into park position. hi all, are there 2 different fuel pump relays for the 78 280z. the parts store stocks one that is different than the one in my vehicle. the one that's in my car now is twice the size than what the parts store showed me. the reason i'm replacing the relay is it looks like the original, and also because i had the rear of the car on jack stands doing brake work and when i finished the job and let the car back down on level ground i could not start the engine. i traced it back to the relay took it apart and the contacts were not touching, don't know what i did but got it to work, i could hear the fuel pump operating, car started . took it for a test run ran good till had to make a sharp u turn after that it seemed like i lost fuel pressure and barely made it home. when i got back messed with the relay again and got it started. any help with this would be appreciated. thank you.

Hello all, the problem i'm having is that when i put the shifter into 1st gear and if i'm not holding it in place, the shifter slams out of gear. this does not happen in any other gear. it has the t5 borg warner tranny . what could be the cause and how hard would it be to repair ? thank in advance for any help.

when i apply brakes it seems like only the front brakes are doing the stopping. all brake components have been replaced except rear rubber hoses. i noticed that when i was bleeding the rear brakes i had a hard time getting brake fluid to flow into vac. cup. any help is appreciated. 1978 280z

hello all, i'm in the process of installing a 83 turbo engine into a 78 280z. i removed the fuel injection wiring harness and computer from donor car. what other parts do i need from donor car for this install before i get rid of it? also will rear end from 83 fit into 78 zcar? do they have the same gear ratio? what about motor mounts? any help would be appreciated. i am new to this site hope i posted this in the right section. thanks.

I purchased a 1978 280z back in sept 2008 and have been working on her since. she's come a long ways and i am getting ready to put her on the road this week! hello all, the problem i'm having is there seems to be not enough vac. created to operate the air intake or the mode door actuator in my 78 280z. i can see the rods just move a little and that's it . thanks for any help given.
