I think your right, you can tell by the triangular shaped parts at the end. I just looked in the black dragon catalog, it looks like this type of header is for a 280z, Oh well, I have heard more bad things then good things about pacesetter anyway.

I found some headers for a 240z on craigslist. They look like they are the MSA 3-2 headers but I just want to be sure. I called the guy and he said he didn't know. I dont want to drive the 45 miles to see them to find out they are some off brand header. Here is the link to the posting http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/1148502577.html
  3. I'm redoing my fuel system, and debating whether or not I should do away with the evap tank (nissan calls it the reserve tank). I have read that people dont have a problem doing it. Im not really worried about keeping the car origional. I like the idea because there is less piping to replace, and its much cleaner. What do you think, what are the pros and cons? Here is what I would be doing http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19034&highlight=fuel+vent

I need to remove my speedometer on my 1972 240z, is there any way to do this without removing the dash, I cannot remove the upper wing nut, is there any trick to doing this, i really cannot get a pair of pliers in there
  5. thanks, im sure relieved that this is normal. To fix the break drag do i just adjust the screw inside the brake druim?
  6. I just recently got my z running, while the rear was up on stands I found that when i turned the right (passenger) wheel, the left (driver) wheel would spin the opposing direction, just like all the other cars I have owned. But when I try to spin the left wheel, the right wheel stays stationary. I started the car and put it in first and both of the wheels were moving. Also the other day when the ground was wet, i could only spin my right tire, not my left. I have heard that sometimes the spider gears will give out in the diffs, what do you think it is?

These air filters were in a box labeled "240z K&N air filters" when I bought the car, It looks like they have been mounted but never oiled and run. I have been looking all over but I cannot figure out who manufactures them. I have seen similar ones but none that have this bolt pattern, If anyone could tell me who makes them I would be very greatful. http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll29/twnygren/240z/?action=view&current=CIMG0601.jpg

Do any of you know where I could find a mechanical fuel pump rebuild kit for my 72' 240z? I can only find new pumps which are about $45-$65, I really just need a new diaphragm, and gaskets.
  12. Hi, tomorrow im going to go pick up a 1972 240z, The odo is at 38k and I was wondering if there are any good ways to tell what the actually mileage is. The body is in really good condition, the paint is not however. It has next to no rust. Are there any tell tale signs that would distinguish a 138k from a 238k car? thanks for your help
