stalling 240Z
My 1973 240Z has started stalling at inappropriate times and it's getting to be really dangerous. When first starting out, it will run fine for about 20 minutes and then when starting up from a red light, it will stall, usually in the middle of an intersection. If I grind the starter and use the choke, it will start but stall soon after again. It seems that starting out in first gear will usually cause a stall but if I quickly go into second gear, it may not stall. I'm an original owner [68,000 miles] and although it is my second car, I hesitate to use it at this time. Also, in addition to my fuel pump, I recently had an electrical pump installed to help get the fuel to the fuel pump quicker. I realize that my description may be a little confusing but I hope someone has already found a solution. Thanks, Stan
