  1. This help? The black relay is an aftermarket flasher for the LED bulbs, I think I just used 3M adhesive tape to mount it.
  2. Are the original holes still present? I bought new ones and they matched the holes in the body. What measurement are you needing?
  3. Maybe this seal? https://www.thezstore.com/product/3008/factory-speedometer-pinion-o-ring-small-70-86-240z-260z-280z-280zx-300zx There is also an O ring that I think goes in the cable end. IIRC
  4. The yellow marks from the factory were applied pretty sloppy, like inline6 did. Here is a good reference of an original car, check out the under pictures https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-124/
  5. Very nice! What a beautiful restoration. I find a couple of pumps of the throttle before starting makes mine fire a bit quicker. After it sits for an extended time, it always takes time to fire up. I guess that's why later ones had the electric pump added.
  6. Wow, you have been busy!
  7. In case you cant find a set. High temp brake silicone grease on the piston, brake quiet spray on the back of the pad and chamfer edges of the pad. Bed them in real good. That usually works for me.
  8. Thanks a lot! I was able to get one apart using a spare key. I just kept pressure on it and moved the key in and out and it slid out. Sorry to highjack Charles, i'm out.
  9. Any chance you have a link? I searched and couldnt find a kit. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, that really helps visualize it.
  11. Are new wafers still available? I have a bag of rear hatch locks and the one I have with the car key is the worst one! I tried to change them around but couldn't get them apart. Glad to see its possible! Even took them to a locksmith and he couldnt either. Thanks for the post, I may dig them back out.

I think she told me $120/rack. Not sure how big one rack is, but all that fit on one rack. I am sure chemical regulations are costly.

Got stuff back from rochester Overnight plating. Pleased with the color and finish. They kept the small parts organized in the same bags I sent them in. Probably a couple of weeks turn around and easy to communicate with. One of the gas caps has a bad place. I may call them and see what they say. All this for about $130. I prepped them pretty well in the wet blaster. Not sure if this is a good deal or not, as everything seems really expensive to me these days! Just thought I would share in case someone is looking for a plater.

Hate to hear that. I tried to get in touch with them a week or two ago. No luck. I sent a few things off to Rochester Overnight plating. They arent overnight, but I should get my stuff back this week. I will post up how they turned out.
  15. Its making noise!! Thats a milestone for sure. You may want to check the connectors in the passenger footwell that feed the dash. I had a wire that had backed out of the connector and even though the connector was plugged in the wires weren't connected. I think I have a large laminated wiring diagram if that might help, let me know and I can send it to you.
