I guess it would help if I had the right wiring diagram for my year! 3/72. My seatbelt buzzer and key buzzer are the same (no key buzzer on steering column) and the buzzer is near the fuse box. The wiring diagram I have is for an early model without the seatbelt light. At least now I have a fighting chance.
  2. I bought the same struts from Rock Auto June 2022 and I dont think I had that problem. That is something I would have remembered for sure! I think I would try and contact KYB, if that is possible.

Thanks, that is a new switch and works the interior light properly. I think to properly diagnose it, I need to review the wiring diagram and test the wires on the switch and steering column. I just have to get motivated to lay under there. It isn't getting under the dash that is the problem, it's getting out!

My have been wired differently in 73. My buzzer is disconnected, as I think there is an issue with the ignition buzzer switch. It buzzes all the time the key is in the ignition and on. No matter if the doors are closed or car is running.
  5. I ordered the ones in Steves post. They have three prongs and an adjustable knob. I will play with them and see if they work. Should be delivered today. I may end up with the ones you posted. Thanks for the link.
  6. Thank you @SteveJ, I got some ordered. I appreciate your help. All my dash/interior is LED, so I just need to concentrate on exterior.
  7. Thanks, I will try and find the thread.
  8. Thanks. Did you have to replace the flasher?
  9. Thanks for the reply. I used LED in all the dash lights. Pretty sure my issue is in the park/tail circuit. Maybe I will try LEDs in all the running/tail lights first. I was going to do that originally, but I was concerned with the flashers. I will check out some threads and see what I can come up with. Thanks.
  10. 3/72 240z. No intermittent wiper. I will have to check the fuse as it was dark when I was felling them, but I think it was the Park/tail and the headlight. Second and third one down on right side of fuse box. That is why I was thinking both harnesses.
  11. Driving my car more and more since getting it back together. During the restoration I went through the entire wiring harness, cleaned and replaced many connectors. Reworked the fuseblock tightening all the rivets. I did not take apart the headlight/wiper switch, just cleaned as best I could externally. Upgraded the alternator to internally regulated. When I run the headlights, the fuse gets hot. I am thinking of trying the headlight and parking light upgrade harnesses before considering a new fuse box. I read a few threads and think I have a good handle on the headlight harness. I am trying to figure out how the parking light harness is installed. Is it on the steering column? Do you run a hot wire from the battery to it? Looking for some insight on this. I am going the right route here? Thanks!
  12. A few more pictures. My lap belts dont have the clip for the shoulder belt and were on the car when I got it. They appear factory and have the factory seatbelt light plugs. I cant remember if the shoulder belts were on the car when I got it or if I had them as parts. Same with the luggage straps. One is longer than the other one. I had them in storage so who knows where they are from. Did early models without the storage bins have longer luggage straps?? I need to research belts and straps.
  13. Why didn't you warn me? 😂
  14. Tip, so you dont make the same mistake I made. Double and triple check your wipers to make sure they are working correctly before putting on the blades. I hooked up the wiper arm to the motor in the wrong position and it caused them to work almost backwards. Make sure motor is in "park" then hook the arm to the motor. It can go on two different ways. Mine looks like this and works properly now!

Thanks Steve! I had the 72 wiring diagram and didn't see the neutral switch line. Pretty cool that it is still working.
  16. Thanks Charles. I couldn't have done as nice a job without the rotisserie you loaned me. I will post up some more detail pictures tomorrow. What, when where is Zcon?

72 240. Just wondering how the light is supposed to work. My light comes on when I start the car. Goes off when I pull the seatbelt out. If I dont buckle the seatbelt the light will come on in neutral, but go out when I shift into a gear?? That seems really wacky? Thanks.
  18. Finally to the finish line. Just waiting on some plastic rivets to finish the interior. I took it for an extended drive today. Really runs nice. The transmission shifts fantastic. The guy I took it to did an awesome job. I need to aim the headlights and a few other minor things, but I am calling it done (for now).
  19. I think the description says the door is in the car. Just trying to help 🙂
  20. I see $400 worth of parts easy. Go grab it! I am walking away from that cheese, but my parts car has been invaluable for all kinds of little bits and pieces. I just thought of @inline6 as it isnt too far from him.
  21. This car may have your left door glass if he is willing to part it out for you. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1588085648594964/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks
  22. I never looked at their hoses. I have used Cohline and conti braided hoses on cars and they are top quality. Thanks
  23. With original parts becoming pricey and scarce, I think the hardest part of rebuilding a z is getting quality parts that will fit. I spent a ton of time (and money) trying to work with garbage aftermarket stuff. We need a sticky that rates aftermarket parts. Dashpot gets zero stars. Belmetric 5 stars.
  24. When I first started this project, I ordered a couple of plastic panels from Dashtop. Fit was terrible. Total junk. Searched for some good quality used ones with very little results. I just ordered some panels Resurrected classics. Fit was very good and the material nice and flexy. Color is a bit on the grey side compared to what I have as original, so you may want to go with the full set if that is an issue. One of the few aftermarket parts that I have actually been pleased with. According to Max, they are going to adding more stuff in the near future.
  25. I hate my parts car didnt have the original L window for you. All the other glass was OEM except that one!
