    Thanks, I think I'll do like you posted but I'm going to drill the old stud out, just as bid as the threads. Get a small end mill bit and slot the fiberglass to fit the "T" as added protection of spinning.

    Question - As I was removing the fiberglass headlight bucket on my 72 240z one of the studs broke. How is the best way to repair this? I was thinking about drilling this one out an epoxying a new stud in.

  6. Thanks for the replies. After reading the info given I think $40 for the transmission is worth the investment. It does need rebuilt but he said the only problem he has is 2nd gear. I'm going to rebuild the whole thing. Thanks again
  7. I have an opportunity to purchase a T5 transmission from a 90s mustang very cheap. I was wondering if it will fab into a 72 240z with the stock L24? I'm looking at sometime in the future going to a small block V8 but not soon. I'm wondering about what bell housing I need and will the shifter be located correctly?
