Thanks for the tip. I was able to get a lot of misc nonsense parts to just wrap things up here and there, screws, clips...the pedal pads actually. A few of the items I "needed" were back ordered You think the larger items might come down even more towards the end of there year? I just don't "Need" any of them now but if that price kept creeping down who knows.

When I picked my car up I didn't realize it at the time but some dingus removed the tool storage altogether. Now, behind my seats, it just slopes upward. It's annoying because now the interior trim vinyls just stop and don't blend into each other. For the meantime I just sound deadened the whole area and will carpet it in the hopes of making it look normal. To answer your question, I plan to just fab in some metal and square it off to make it look correct. I will then just cut holes via a template or just leave it, still unsure. I have seen on ebay someone selling just that section though, but since you already have the donor, go for it. It looks like you'd just cut it out at the seams and swap it over. Looking at my car, it doesn't look like there is much holding that section in so it might be a pretty quick swap.
  3. Great thank you for your help. After I posted this I was on a rebuilding site looking for linkages to replace my jacked up choke mechanism...and saw a pic of the 70-71 set, with a clear shot of knurled knobs. Thanks again.
  4. Hello, I am getting ready to install a set of SU's on my car. All the stuff I read about making adjustments by turning X-Number of "Flats" has me asking this. I don't have an adjustment knob with "Flats", I have a knurled adjustment knob with a little bump on it which I believe is to help identify the number of turns you've made. I have no problem turning it and counting etc, but I would like to know why mine is like this. It is on a set of 4 screws. I searched with terms like "SU" + "Flats", if anyone can point me to a thread I will happily read it, I couldn't bring it up. Thank you, -Brian
  5. Like I said, I used the Stainless Screws. Now you can see what it looks like.
  6. Hello, I know your post is old and you have probably moved on from this project and I'm sorry for resurrecting but.... I just put these three screws in this past weekend. I don't have a picture or screw size as I am at work but I will post a picture when I get home. The screws were stainless steel and philips with a slightly domed head. They look pretty good. No washer used as the head of the screw sank in just enough to be flush and snug the console down. Do you have a picture of what you used...10 months after you posted this...I'd like to see.
