  1. Zcurves, That's a cool color! Looks nice. Good luck with the assembly!
  2. I hope to get my car registered very soon and take it for the first real drive! Then, just keep it pretty since I already did the entire rebuild last year A road trip to the coast would be really cool too. I would also love to take it to a car show or two.

  9. WOW! That is a really nice paint job! REALLY good color too. That is going to look really sweet when it's all done. Congratulations! I think butterscotch would go well with the blue. A nice bright interior against that dark blue exterior. SWEEET! John
  10. Thanks! Although that would be a far drive all the way from Arkansas. Less vigor. A concept I need to grasp. John

  12. Here are the pictures I promised. I ended up finishing most of the car before I polished the paint. The only things left are some interior parts! Yeah... I got a little carried away with the polisher on the front of a stripe as you can see... But it's all a learning curve. It was a blast. I miss my aluminum wheels. :disappoin But it's winter and I had to put on the steel wheels with studded tires. It kinda reminds me of a rally car though. Not that I'll be driving it much anyways in the winter. :paranoid: I just put the emblems on tonight. It was really satisfying. Hope you guys like the pics. John
  13. Thanks guys. I'll post more pics when I've buffed it out. But I have to wait until the paint has cured more. It's still only a couple days old! You can't rush these things. John
  14. It just needs to be buffed out. We haven't worked on the line we created when we put the stripe on yet. So that will take some polishing. I too know every bad spot on my car. :paranoid:

My dad and I did this ourselves. I think it looks pretty good for the first paint job I've ever done. I would definitely recommend painting your car yourself. The pride you get from it exceeds any imperfections it may have.
  16. Welcome to the site! Sad story you have... But congrats on the new Z! This is a really great club you can get tons of info on. See you around, John

  18. Thanks guys. I got the 20 wt fork oil. I went to every hardware store around here and no one had the 3in1 blue label! So then I went to tons of motorcycle shops looking for 20 wt but everyone had like 5 and 10 wt. Eventually I found it at a Honda dealer Thanks everyone, John
  19. Ok cool. I was hoping that I wasn't going to have to order some Thanks for all the great info! John
  20. Hi all, I'm about to get my car started and I need damper oil for my carbs but NAPA, AutoZone, and Shucks all don't have it. I went to a local import auto shop and they told me that I could just use normal transmission oil. Is this correct? Or should I just order SU carb damper oil from the BD catalog? Thanks, John
