  1. Looks just like my Series 1 parts car.
  2. Awesome! Looks like we'll have a new thread starting up on CZCC. Good Luck.
  3. If this post is real, then this is the Bargain of the Year! http://bringatrailer.com/2012/01/11/1971-datsun-240z-starting-point/ Ok, it's still early in the year.

I definitely recommend the Paintless Dent Removal technique. During our Christmas Party at Jimbo's Z Mecca in Lutz, FL, the Suncoast Z Club invited a guy to work on cars that folks drove in. I'd never seen it done before, but this guy did around 6/7 cars, a couple of which had big dents with some paint cracking. The best one was a custom painted 280Z with an 8-inch dent along the SS line of the door. When he was finished, the dent was gone...then he fired up a torch and carefully ran it the flame along the dent, and the paint cracks disappeared. It was really interesting. Good Luck Julio.
  5. It's really only living when it's pushing 4500 RPM's or more and a cool breeze it's running over it's metal skin! Drive Fast My Friend!

If this sweet looking thing sells for $38K i'd be surprised. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZalgoQ3dSIQ26ituQ3dUCIQ252BUAQ252BFICSQ26otnQ3d10Q26pmodQ3d120704418733Q252B250795451416Q252B200591531970Q26poQ3dLVIQ26psQ3d63Q26clkidQ3d8436386733811808284QQ_trksidZp5197Q2em263QQitemZ290553900609#ht_1050wt_1161

  9. It is hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like a 69-very early 71 Series1. It has the rear hatch vents and the steering wheel without holes. Did you happen to get the Vin and engine block numbers?
  10. One of the biggest thrill rides I've had was in Mark Alger's #4 Comp Coupe Viper on Phoenix International Raceway during a National Auto Sport Associate (NASA) event. The 8-lap ride-along was super-fun, and scary at the same time. We were on the track with a few "newer" drivers in much slower cars, so it made for some white-knuckle moments. I never looked over at the gauges to see just how fast we were going, but afterward I checked the computer and our fastest lap on the track was a 1:05:69. I can't wait to go again.

Great. Another member for the Suncoast Z Car Club. Contact Linda @ lindaclarkellis@yahoo.com and she'll give you the low-down on meetings, events and activities that are coming up. The club is stacked with Z's Old-to-New, so you'll get a lot of great info and comraderie.
  12. My daughter made me this cool fame of photos containing pics of my '73 (top two on left and one on bottom right) and my '71 (all the rest), plus, she found this great model of a '71 240Z on eBay.

It looks like the Online Registry of 240Z's (240) has been totally deleted. All the other tabs look OK.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hopefully the rain will stay away this weekend so that I can get a good run in this weekend. See you in the rearview!
  16. I'll take 6. Four for now, and two spares...just in case.
  17. Does anybody have a line on someone who can reproduce this part? Seems like a few Mustang and "Shelby" Cobra owners might like a set too. That is assuming KJP would supply the donor part.

BARGAIN! Good luck on the resto. I think some elbow grease and some rubbing compound will bring back a good portion of the cars color. This is a great forum for help. I still have a long way to go, but here's something to shoot for:

I was afraid to clik on that posting just based on the title "PO gave me Wood". But since there was no warning at the top that the posting was for adults only, I kept reading. Haha
