  1. well lets just say i like the vintage look and i would like to make them for vintage racers I got time but the first jump suit i wanna make will be white with a blue strip and cuffs and the old school datsun patch as well.... I'm making a datsun competition patch with the carbs logo and racing flags as well best pics I got so far

  4. So mine took a dump! and the cam got a little wear on it! it was a nice C datsun comp cam! IS there any upgrade for the oiler tube? or do I just have to replace or get a a self lubing cam?
  5. So its the new year and i got money to blows on the datsun for once. I thinking getting Arizona Z springs but whats a good shock to back it up with? I'm rebuilding the front end as well with MSA parts new Urethane Control Arm Bushing Kits front and rear new rear aim pins and what else besides the Urethane bushings do I need for the rear pins as well?

  10. yea the gas get a gas smell build up on the inside when it sits in storage soo i'll look into it!

Ok short on time so trying to pack 2 turds in a half turd bag! :laugh: So what U joints Would you choose over other for axles and drive shaft my dad back in the mid 70's was always blowing out his axles u joints! 2nd I fixed a ton of leak in the lines for the vapor tank in the 1/4 panel ! I am still get the smell inside! Can I remove the tank with out having any problems and just cap ever thing off ?
  12. thanks you very much! I plan to the Arizona Z springs! bushing's just not to sure! yet and shock are the next thing i need to look into! What wheels are those BTW?

  14. So I got most my problems fixed. Now time to fix the ride! No idea what kinda shock are on the car but seems I have stock springs! I know the rear bushings are poly and rear is a bit hard ride! with some bangs! Front seems like just pain rubber ones! So my plan is king springs, shocks not to sure what will match well with the king's. Bushings? I can still get rubber I take but is there a better rubber set? like firm rubber or just stock rubber! I don't want the firm firm of poly and I know they wear out kinda fast (4 years on my MR2). SO what do you cats think?

  17. hmm nice I like the ball joint up grade pics! I wanna know if they broke at all from the smaller shaft! so what comp knuckles fit on the 260 then?
  18. soo my speedo gear is right and its tires or the speedo clock spring what kinda shop fits those springs cuz I can't think of any that would!
  19. hmm well then GPS i will do ! but i need more info to support this 16/17 speed to find which is right!
  20. hmm ok I need help a little more now ! I pulled the speedo gear its yellow meaning the 3.36 then i opened the diff and its a 3.36 gear! but my speed is still off! and tires seem like they should match ! I do have some after market wheels if they are to wide will that affect the speedo? at 45 i'm doing 40 at 70 i'm doing 60ish so whats the problem wheels and tires or the speedo its self? maybe bad spring or some thing else?
  21. yea I just looked at my factory service manual collection and they 240z's came with 17.8:1 but still says 8.9 ft lock to lock for both!
  22. So for quicker steering maybe use the quick steering knuckles and the 240 racks?
  23. the part I keep getting confused on is this the steering ratio changed from 15.8 to 18.0. does that mean its quicker? or more highway friendly? also I myself don't like the removal of lube points in the rack! Now I have to take the rack apart to use better slicker lube =(
  24. eh don;t worry its not always this forum its mostly hybrid Z. Some locals I have met which I have met many! Some good alot bad! I met 2 who when I came over for help were drunk or almost drunk and thought they were gods. i"m more or less glad they can't use the internet!
