LISTA has nice cabinets but be ready to lay down a little cash.
  2. Welcome CG The ZSOURCE would be a good place to check with. I believe they actually may have some harnesses in stock. Get rid of the butt connectors. They can cause a fire from too much resistance. Good Luck
  3. I agree with everyone else. Buy it for a parts car after you buy one that is running and driveable.

Good Luck with the project. Be real patient with it. You will find a good source for parts and technical help in this forum. I was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. It's nice to see someone from my home state.

OR! You could just weld and grind the holes and have them re-plated!
  6. Check the manufacturers specs on the exploded diagram or take a look at www.piercemanifolds.com. Good Luck!
  7. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
  8. I don't really know what price to suggest. Ultimately it comes down to what you can afford and what he will accept. Don't give him any indication of the max you are able to spend. Also don't give the impression you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE THAT CAR. Be prepared to spend time learning and tinkering with it as the above contributor mentioned. Modified cars require a lot of knowledge acquisition even if you modified it yourself. I really like the color though.
  9. Engine bay is looking really good. Finish the job right.

I am on that road everyday. BTW nice photo shop job
  11. Agree with BOBC If it means that much to you, and it should, let a professional take care of extracting the studs. It sounds like you have most of the parts off that need to come off anyway. If a machine shop enlarges a hole they have the right equipment to repair the damage and cleanly retap the hole. I'm not a big fan of helicoil inserts simply because I don't have complete piece of mind about the repair. When you put the exhaust manifold back on use self locking nuts and you won't ever have that issue again. Due to vibration the one closest to the firewall is a common fail point on L6 engines at least all the Z cars I have ever had. Good Luck
  12. I opened the links you posted and all prices are in YEN. I didn't know that ZCCJDM stocks the heat shield. Thanks for schooling me. Yes your rig does look good. It's nice to get some raw feedback about performance improvements. Can't wait to hook up the 47's. Not sure how you came up with your shipping cost, but when I made my purchase of the heat shield along with the fuel rail shipping was $35.00.
  13. The dashboard can be fixed but you will have to open up that ridge running behind the gauges. There is a post on the site about everything you will need to fix it. It has to be removed though. Search dashboard repair.
  14. WELL I used a currency converter to get an idea of what a heat shield would cost. I have a set of OER 47MM that will eventually be installed on Project 3/72. The heat shield cost 5500 yen, approx $70.00. The shipping cost to North America ranges between 9600 yen and 25800 yen. 25800 yen is roughly $331.00. If you use a median shipping price you can expect to pay approx $205.00 for shipping to North America for a heat shield. F#%@&^K
  15. I say stay as close to what you have as possible. The matte appearance makes the car look all business. Chrome makes it look like something from MATTEL with a motor.
  16. I like them as well and plan on putting a set on my resto project. If these are still up for grabs after the first of the year I will be sending an e-mail. I don't really care about period correct.....I WANNA SEE!
  17. I agree with 5TH. If it isn't running you are almost going to pay someone to come get it.

725 and Steve read this and study. It might help. Understanding a Weber Side Draft Carburetor Through a Fictional Supposition.
  19. esmit208 replied to lila725's post in a topic in Help Me !!
BLUE posted a good illustration about side draft carburettors a few days ago. Check the archives. Something that caught my interest was the effect that emulsion tubes have on overall performance. The fact that they can be changed was what really got my attention. It might help if you look at the illustration and narrow down what parts may need to be swapped out for better performance.
  20. 7K would be a good ask if it were running and didn't need many replaced mechanical parts. All the master cylinders will need replacing as well as all the brake cylinders. If I had 7K I would be knocking on your door tomorrow but unfortunately I don't. I could do all the work myself and that is the sort of potential buyer you are looking for. Would have been a better idea to keep the reason for the proceeds to yourself. It avoids people that think you are desperate. Good Luck

Good food for thought! From everyone
  22. I'm in the market for a LINCOLN 110V after the first of the year, provided I am able to keep my job. QUESTION---Why does money have such a great influence over the quailty of one's life in this country? I wish it was simpler.
  23. esmit208 replied to logan1's post in a topic in Open Discussions
LOGAN It looks really nice. I really like the high heat hood liner. Who supplies it? I personally don't care for V8 conversions in Z cars. It seems to really over power them and the straight 6 can be plenty powerful if built properly. I hope you enjoy many years of HIGHway driving.

WELCOME LAMINATOR. A new member is always simpatico.
  25. I believe the only way I would sell either one of mine would be if it needed to be done to save my life or a member of my family's life.
