Car Warriors
I'm with you ARNE. At the moment my wife is watching a program about a young man that used to be a cross dresser and presumably gay who is trying to turn his life style around. I have no problem with anyones sexual orientation but that is CR@P TV for Sunday night. Gonna have to buy a nice TV for the house and put the one we have currently out in the garage. Hey isn't there a basketball game on right now? RATS!

Weird noise coming from motor
DILILAH?............It needs a MANS NAME! Probably doesn't like being called DILILAH! How would you act if someone called you DILILAH?

Is this a good header?
It will probably do the job PHIL. It would be nice if they could get that coating to cover he entire inside though. Best thing is it will never look rusty and brown.

"Return-to zero shock absorber" missing...
I would get the entire unit replaced. A replacement part has a warranty and this is an infrequent issue. Replacing it now will mean that you won't ever have to replace it again in your time of ownership. Besides it will give you piece of mind. Vibration and heat will cause any self-fix with electronic components to fail not to mention moisture.

Heater/AC Removal
JIM Have you considered a FULL RESTORATION? It would be so much easier to get all that crap out of the way and fix it properly. No point in putting a bandage on it because you will do that the entire time you own the car. I had to cut out the same areas and mine wasn't even running when I bought it. Just something to consider.

Color Code Required
SIBZ My only suggestion is to find a color as close to that one as possible and go with that. Even a professional would not be able to look at that pic and tell you what the color code is. Scower some new car lots maybe you can find something close. Good Luck.

Annoying tag line to Z classifieds

Major problem
DV If it is not the AFM it is a sensor of some type that is associated with the AFM. Sometimes when the ECU is going bad the same symptoms will occur. The only way to narrow it down is to replace the current ECU with a known good ECU. If the issue still exists do the same with your AFM if possible. The 76--77--78 and a few 79's had some somewhat problematic electronics and it is not possible to plug them in to a computer that will read the codes. The problem can be sorted out but you may need to go to a knowledgeable DATSUN mechanic to get it sorted.

280z 2 core, or 240z 3 core radiator?
YOSHI Generally more water means better cooling efficiency. So 3 core or (row) will always do a better job. I personally don't have any dealings with EBAY radiators but I have seen these on 240Z SCCA racing machines. If they race with them chances are they will be worry free on the street. www.fluidyne.com

rocker panel replacement
MRK3COBRA This is what it looks like when you take them off. Mine were cancered pretty badly so they had to come off for complete restoration. Also do a general search for ROCKER PANEL REPLACEMENT on this site. There are some good photos of what the replacement part looks like as well as installation. It can be done with the right tools and patience. Don't weld it until it fits perfectly. If you have to a professional can fit them for you.

Weak brakes
Lani Kai Just one more link in the chain, there is a check valve attached to the firewall. It is an inline check valve inserted in the vacuum hose that runs from the booster to the intake manifold. They rarely go bad but they are replaceable. Since you are looking into the brake system it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace that valve.

What is this thing?
Maybe it activates the twin 50 caliber machine guns behind the headlights. Didn't 007 havethat feature on one of his rides?

lambo doors
Sometimes "COOL" is over blown. Stick with what you have as far as doors are concerned. If you want all that HOOPDY stuff get some old Impala or something. Most of that crowd doesn't even know what NISSAN used to be.

CARid.com
YEAH I would say that "FREE SHIPPING" Probably does not mean to MEXICO. Does you or you friend have a phone? Calling them would be the best way to get results. Me always hated air dams!
