  1. I am guessing Bob S is the Craigslist poster from Whidbey Is and has these two pic's of sensors. I am not sure if these are the same ones he is questioning about. I too am not downloading unknown files. These are copied from the CL ad. https://skagit.craigslist.org/pts/d/oak-harbor-datsun-280z-280zx-coolant/7581226710.html https://skagit.craigslist.org/search/sss?userpostingid=7581226710#search=1~gallery~0~0
  2. Interesting, That seller https://www.ebay.com/str/sparksurplus has over 110K items for sale, and over 2300 Datsun items that look pretty nice. Reasonably priced too. For all Datsuns. I do not know the seller at all or purchased anything. Just an observation. I think I have one of those ICM's too. Just not sure of the car it is from.

I have always looked at the speaker holes. There is a noticeable flat spot between the bump and holes on the early and no gap on the later.
  4. I completely agree with this statement. I does look better than all the other candidates they have offered up. You can certainly expect there is a whole lot worse you can't see. And this is just classic.....sounds like they are selling a new car. ..."lighter with an ashtray" "sun visors" Amenities include air conditioning, driver-side mirror, manual-crank windows, analog clock, Hitachi vintage radio, center console, lighter with an ashtray, sun visors, glove compartment, and rear window louvers.

I have a few of those brackets on my parts cars.

I too have quite a hoard, not a ton of NOS but lots of UOS. I usually clean up some parts and post on eBay. I also answer parts wanted ad's when I find them. Lately I have seen a larger amount of parts for sale on CL and FB. People seem to be cleaning out their hoards and unfinished projects for the new year. I started with adding to my own spare parts collection and just kept finding well priced, whole rusted out cars. I even tried selling them as a whole but everyone that came to look just lowballed me or passed outright. So I decided to part them out. Keeping the better of any given part and offering the extras up as mentioned before. I do have one good shell. I am saving another full set of parts for it's build. I am sure I have enough parts to put it together, but like many not enough room or time right now. I do have some rear taillight panels that are NOS (not Nissan, from an old body shop) One for a 74-78 2+0 and the other is 74-78 2+2 With storage dirt and some surface rust.
  7. One issue with MSA's product, for $10 each set. $50 shipping Even a USPS small flat rate box is $42.00 to generic a Germany postal code. (I probably have some used bolts/nuts I could sell)

I think I have that one, see pic. Your picture is a ? for me, so I can't compare. I parted an early 260 and I am pretty sure this is the grill off it. I should tag everything......🤭
  9. If you post pictures of the three you have and what your goal is perhaps we can assist further. @Zed Head detailed out a few of the needed changes that may be required. There is different gearing, different half shaft stubs and/or CV axles, different mounting, different snubbers (strap or RT style) Open / LSD etc......
  10. I bought from Black Dragon long ago. I still have a catalog too. The R200 will work in all of the years but did not come in the 240Z from the factory. It is stronger and also heavier. Other changes are needed to make it fit.
  11. The 240’s should all be R180s. The R200 came in the 280 and most 280zx. There were some zx that did get the R180’s though. I have a chart at home I can share if someone else doesn’t by the time I get home. (This would be for US spec cars) Lots of people put the R200 in the 240’s as well as some Subaru R160/R180’s
  12. They look like they are spot welded.
  13. Well then I find my 78 car has open holes under the dash. Then has no openings up by the core support, just a small hole. Odd.
  14. I think you might have a post Aug 1976 build ie a 1977 car. Those side vents are open on a 75-76 car with plastic inserts in the round plate area. These would be controlled with the knob/cable in you other post. There would also be a pleated plastic elbow in the front hole for a scoop type inlet. They must have changed the fresh air intake on the 77-78. I have a shell I can confirm this idea. The hinge plates look like the later 77-78 style. If you have a picture of the door jam latch that would confirm the later build date. Better yet the drivers door jam plate with the build month/year.

Hey Roo, I have a few radiators, and one metal fan. I have heard the metal fans came apart during use. Nissan then switched to plastic. The metal is great for a show car, but if you are going to drive this car, then I suggest a plastic. JMO.... mine is not for sale. Lots of other parts if you need something. Including the plastic fan set up. I picked up a number of wheel sets from a BAT leftovers purchase that came my way. I have a few sets in my stash too. Being you are nearby, shipping would be nil.
  16. You mean "the password is strong in this one" Obi wan.....😀 I could see where this could be a hack and they are data mining. "Upgrade you password"
  17. I can remember when there weren't really any Datsuns at the auction, they were all in the junk yard. Now I see a bunch of them at the auction, and hardly any at the junk yard. 3 in a week now..... A 77 280Z in Lynnwood, and a 68 PL520 truck in Lakewood, and the 76 I pillaged last Friday. I grabbed some nice dash parts out of the truck. Lynnwood is a little far for a midweek trip for me.
  18. View Advert 280Z Clutch and Brake pedal Kit Clutch pedal, brake pedal, bolts, spring and plastic anti squeak piece. Has the stopper, and the master cylinder rod pin with clip. Nice zinc on the bolts. still has white paint on the spring. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking. Advertiser Terrapin Z Date 11/14/2022 Price $200 Category Parts for Sale
  19. I did go down today, As it turns out the entire lower yard is closed and cleared of all cars. All the available cars (70 of them) are up on the hill just right of the office. I ran into Matt, the guy who bought the big brakes there, he was getting a 6sp transmission out of a BMW for a 510 car he has. (yellow car behind the Z) I picked a number of things until my wallet said stop. Here is what it looked like when I got there.

Humorously known as the monkey motion shifter.
  21. I met some Datsun guys at the Tumwater PNP, they bought a 720 5sp transmission and it was on FB later that night for 7 times what they bought it for. He lost his 10mm socket too. 😂
  22. How about an estate auction. 3 Z's for sale. https://bid.stamplerauctions.com/auctions/catalog/id/153?page=4&_ga=2.148058039.1649377094.1667837383-65743730.1662044146&_gl=1*188exzs*_ga*NjU3NDM3MzAuMTY2MjA0NDE0Ng..*_ga_THSEH7FGP6*MTY2NzgzNzM4My43NC4wLjE2Njc4MzczODMuMC4wLjA&fbclid=IwAR1XeXxCNkZFXKdFsaUAWCmP-lAe5bIUWoW2s-1-oW2innTz_WhVsMGjdQ8
  23. PNP takes a pic of the car when they get it. Then they process it removing the wheels, oils and fuel, and place it in the yard on their stands. The wheels all go into the shop and are sold in sets for too much money. The car will be wheelless in the yard. You only find a few stock steelies and spares in the cars. Therefor someone who found this car would of course buy the struts and instantly post to FB for a tidy profit.
  24. This just popped up as well from Portland, I wonder if these are off that car? They have the right patina. Hard to tell from the one picture.
  25. I might just make the trip. I'm sure there are a lot of small trim pieces too. Portland has some car vultures though, these get picked over quick. I've been to that yard before. It is rather big. The worst part about it is huffing the parts back up the hill to the office. They got flooded out one year, I went all the way down and was turned away.
