I was curious about why my one measurement was different that site's. So I measured again. Must of had the mic cockeyed.

Float level advice, please.
Short one in the front carb, tall one in the rear. I measured just the hex portion without the sealing washer. (Is your measurement up on the round part near the top of the valve?)

Float level advice, please.
I need to get some carb parts out for another guy, while I have the carb box out, I will look at the 3 screw valves and see what's in there.

Cody's Goon
My friend has the trim, he wants $200.00 for the full set. About par with most 240 trim I see on eBay. He is not very far from me. Shipping will be interesting, kind of a wide flat box. I'm sure they would call oversize. Let me know if you are interested. You might want to find something more local.

I have a bunch of Z stainless if that will work for you. I might have a source for 510 stainless I can check with if needed.

1970 240Z survivor on Hemmings Auctions
I saw the Facebook post just now too. $200k seems a bit high IMO, and of course you will be getting bashed on that medium. Again good luck. Glad I got my car when I did. At todays prices I stole it.

Acceptable Antenna Replacement
I picked this up at a swap meet a while back. It is missing the top nut though. I have since found an original bullet tip that works so I would sell this if you're interested.

Cam Sprocket Position
I'm no expert on distributors, but I think that is a euro distributor and may have a different advance curve. I found this old post about that very dizzy. I also found this chart showing the advance differences. Maybe someone here can explain what the different curves will ultimate mean for your set up. Just to add to your frustration 🥴 I hope it works for you.

I grounded mine to the screw that holds the condenser, over to a coil mount bolt. Then a bigger wire from the coil mount bolt to the battery directly. The points ground from the advance plate to the body through the internal wire. Also look for cracks in the plastic isolation pieces as they can short out too.

Tranny/Diff Ratio and RPM @ Speed
When I bought '70 my car the PO had a B 4sp and 4:11. He auto-crossed it a little, and liked the quick off the line zip. Horrible for the highway though. I found a 3:54 from the automatic cars and that worked pretty well It just screamed a little still on the 70-80 mph highway runs. I then found an 83ZX 5 speed and used a calculator like you have here. I ended up with a 3:70 R180 open diff from a Maxima. That worked out really well for my driving style.

6/1971 correct valve cover bolts?
Those don't look right. The valve cover should have all flange bolts, not separate lock and flat washers.

I found this list online where all the 280's are the same except the A/T. Then you can see all the different ones for the ZX.
