Early Canadian L24 for sale
I am interested, but I am down near Olympia WA. Any ideas how to make that work?

He had the price down to $25,500 OBO on the Cl ad, he might get that, as people do bid late. It is a no reserve auction, so it sells for the highest bid. The $19,200 is a new bidder.

Appears to be sold now. I saw it on another classified marked as sold recently, and the CL ad says deleted by author.

'70 240Z HLS30-01850 with Original Matching Engine
There are a number of older cars in the background, and a boat. Sketchy flipper is my guess too.

That is the same phone number listed in the ad as the mystery 70 from Vancouver WA I posted about 9.7.1.7.0.1.8.3.6.2

My guess is a home made coolant shut off for the carb warmer.

I agree with your observations, curious abnormalities abound. My thoughts drifted to a high milage car that has been "cleaned up" with newer parts i.e. Seats, dash, doorcards visors, etc. With that huge pile of service records there might be some evidence of these changes I mentioned, along the lines on the new bumpers The DP9 Motorsports pictures are from a dealer in NY that says the car is for sale in Oregon. Strange findings again. From their site : (they misspelled the use of the word "through") (scattered use of Capital letters) As is, it is not our fault. We are Not a Dealer, we Assist in the Coordination of the Sale Threw Our Network of Dealers or Private People. We dp9motorsports are not responsible for any damages on vehicle. Due diligence and third party inspectors are always recommended all cars are as is. Buyer is fully responsible to get the inspection. Like 26th and Namerow says, still looks like a nice car. I suppose it depends on what a buyer ultimately wants to do with it, and what price that decision is worth.

Yes welcome 197TZ (Jay), Please do relay any info you feel comfortable sharing about this car. Seems to have an interesting history. While it looks like a good candidate for a restorer or a very nice driver. About the stereo ~ at least the front speakers are not cut into the doors. Just some new kick panels to fix that. Might have to do some electrical wire repair in the center console, but that shouldn't be too bad. I don't remember seeing any pics of the inside of the rear hatch so I can't speak to any stereo mods there. Good luck with your search.

Sold from Port Angeles WA from Graymotors. Which appears to be a local used car dealer up there https://www.graymotors.com I noticed my New York area code is really 971 not 917. 971 is in Portland area. So at least all the area locations are closer together but still a little scattered. I'm not a buyer, I was just interested in the condition, and what it ends up selling for. The seller has 0 feedback, joined eBAY 01-03-19 and also has a 86 Firebird listed

I agree with Namerow the wear on the car looks more like 54000 (eBAY ad) but that can be hidden. It could be 254000 now, but I would think there would be more tell tale signs of wear. JMO The sellers phone number was in the CL ad in the first post here, a 917 area code which is from New York. The map shows NE Vancouver Wa, and the ad was in the Seattle Cl. The address was Corvallis OR in the Topcalssic ad. eBAY ad says Clackamas OR. Sits at $15,100 on eBAY now. 5 days to go......

I saw yesterday he had reduced the price on CL to $25,500 OBO. As well as listing it on eBAY. Today the CL ad say's deleted by author, it is still on eBAY with 6 bids now at $10,100. The eBAY ad also said it was for sale locally and he might end the auction early. Perhaps someone will get a good / fair deal on it, time will tell.

Looking at the vin plate the engine number was 006582 and the car number is 03543. I would think the seller just mixed up the numbers, or perhaps he does not even know which is which.

Well this explains more about the engine and rear end statements in the Cl ad. Some swapped out drivetrain parts. I suppose now that if it's been around for a while and has not sold, it might have some more unmentioned issues. The pics in the Cl ad look better than the other sites pictures, IMHO.

Agreed, while I did point out some items that were changed out, there are also a number of original parts there too. More so than most cars I have seen touted as "original" I don't expect it to take too long to sell this one.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/d/vancouver-rare-1970-datsun-240z-dark/6781563999.html Nice clean car, a few changes as expected. Radio and speakers, some switches and hose clamps, etc. All and all it looks pretty good for $30K (not mine)

Confirmation!! Thanks Cliff I was not 100% sure of the fitment. Your welcome, with these cars we have to think outside of the box more and more. Glad to help out.

240Z Drip Rails
I have some drip rails, but I think the clips 73815-N3700 -(N3701) were only for the 10/73 > 2+2. None of my rails have any clips.

Too rich for my blood
You can always expect a dealership to be asking a high price. I was wondering why they decided not to change the ball joints and tie rod ends. They look pretty old. If you were replacing sway bar end links, brakes, and lines why would you just do it all?

You are 100% right, I logged off then came back after your response. All the ad's came back with some new ones too. My guess is they show you the ad's that are looked at the most. A strange world we live in today.......... I just ignore the bottom pic's and read the posts. It is the price we pay for the website to have ad sponsors.

Interesting topic, I too have seen this for a long time. I chalked it up to the items that are most searched (ie.: T&A) so I clicked on that image and found it to have 24 million views. What was interesting is that it went away when I refreshed the page. To test that, I tried the next T&A ad for the Formula 1 gals. After clicking on it I refreshed and it was then gone. I did this for a third pic, and it too went away. Now this is my bottom ad selection. It changed completely. Just my observations, your's might be different. We shall see how long my changed ad's last. I expect she will be back.
