  1. Yeah, seems I remember something about not having to drill new mount holes on the 79-81. Bolt pattern was bigger on 82-83.
  2. Posted and sold within an hour on OfferUp. Just missed it. No idea how much it went for. listed of $1.00 The seller only posted this "Dad passed away just getting feels make me an offer" I expect someone got a great deal. Near Tacoma WA.
  3. 82 won't work? I seem to remember something said about the bolt pattern. Not sure though.
  4. Exactly, just like the stylus on a record player. My co worker and I were discussing whether or not it played while driving. We were thinking it would have skipped as well. I found a few on eBay but nobody opened it up. It just has three screws on the record side and 4 on the PCB side.
  5. Doh!!! Of course you would want to see the inside. Silly me, yes it looks like a small record player inside there. Lots of pins in the plug for all the different input signals to tell it which track to play. "ding" " You forgot to load the pictures" "ding" Ha ha
  6. Betty box from my 82ZX parts car.
  7. The ad does say clean title.

At first try the HTTPS did not work, which I thought was strange. After reading everyone else was working. I tried the HTTP and that worked. I decided to clear my history, then google ZHome and use the same link I had issues with before (HTTPS) and it worked this time. Links in the right panel open in the left panel, as it had in the past for both HTTP and HTTPS. Nice job getting that fixed Carl, Thank you. Your site has valuable information for everything Z
  11. Well it supposedly sold for $9999.99, but now it is back up for sale starting at $4800.00 and has 3 bids to bring it to $5250.00 currently. I guess the seller did not care for the buyer or the back up bidders. Perhaps it is a scam. Who knows. The sellers remark : This has been relisted because of some jerk that thinks it's funny to bid up an auction and not have any intention of paying. Probably the Facebook peeps???......😛 Normally you can offer it to the back up bidder, but I guess that was a no go either. The second highest bid was $9999.00
  12. Ha ha, we should have put together some kind of parts swap. These are three of the shield I have loose. I am not sure which one you are looking for. The small one looks like it bolts to the bottom of the EFI manifold. It is in the parts schematic #11 I think it was a shield for the AFM. I thought the bigger curved one went around the Master cylinder. I'm not real sure about the square one. I could not find either of these in the car parts manual on line. Let me know if any of these are the ones you are looking for.
  13. I am pretty sure I have one available, I picked up some 280Z parts a while back. I will confirm this afternoon when I am home from work.
  14. I search eBay a lot too, and see many overpriced items, as well as some deals. I have not seen anything like this before. Where everything is the same price. If you look at their sold list it is all normal pricing. I know these "store" sellers upload and relist items in bulk. I thought the uploaded might have somehow set the price the same on everything. I do find your money laundering theory interesting and quite plausible in the online auction setting. I do find it strange how the same items are in the sold list, as well as the new list when it is a single used part.
  15. I know the price of parts has been going up recently on these cars but $1000 for a fuel filer or an oil filter, single spark plugs, alternators, Etc. These guys are out for bank. https://www.ebay.com/sch/123autoparts-1/m.html?item=402529327836&fits=Make%3ADatsun&hash=item5db89e1adc%3Ag%3ADLoAAOSwyjZfoKgb&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 At least most are free shipping. lol I went through many pages of their 396K parts for sale and they are all $1000 BIN. 98.5% positive I know it is probably a glitch, just funny to me.

If I look up Home in google it comes up as the third entry, but has the HTTPS protocol as shown, clicking that will end up with the site that does not function correctly. At least for me. Again if I pull it from my bookmark in Safari or from cache history it populates the HTTP protocol.

Ah this worked. When Zedhead first brought this up I just goggled Zhome and did end up with the https site. I just now manually removed the s and the page works fine. I went to edit this in my bookmark and found it was http and not https. So if i had tried this from my bookmark it would have not given my this issue of dead links. That must be why it worked a few weeks ago as I normally get to the page through my bookmarks. Good call.

To be clear, in the past when I checked you site for say, registry info the left panel links worked a few weeks ago. I only tried again the other day when Zed Head mentioned the issue. I tried again just now. When I click on the book it does take me to a new page lulu. That seems fine. In the left menu side of the main screen the at the top seems to work taking me lower in the left panel like an index should. Z Car Home Page - Section Descriptions: Again clicking on any of the "expanded site index below" does not go anywhere. Expanded Site Index Below: Internet Z Car Club in Firefox currently, and a few weeks ago in Safari it would open those index links in the right panel. The two links "How to join" and "Searchable members list" both lead to "403 forbidden" Not sure what is up but I hope this info will help you sort it out.

Carl, I have Safari 14.0 Running on Catalina and it still only works with right click open in new. I also tried it in FireFox 82.0 and it works fine.

Strange, If you just click on them they don't do anything. Right click - open in a new window/tab and they work just fine.
  21. I looked at it again and found the rating is based on the last 12 months 10 positive reviews and 1 negative then some strange math. Still has 1063 feedback and I looked through 8 pages and saw only one neutral. Positives: 10 Negatives: 1 This member's positive Feedback percentage 10 / ( 10 + 1 ) = 90.9% Ebay is all about selling something, anything for any price. They just want to make their 10% on the sale no matter what. Now they make 10% off the shipping too. Which then can cut into your personal profit. You have to pad the shipping charge to cover the fee. Kind of screws the seller IMO. I don'y buy much on eBay anymore, just every now and then when something good shows up for a reasonable price. Farther and fewer nowadays for sure. I agree with you though, the guys seems to have a chip for sure. As I expect you saw has not been on here for 4 years either.
  22. 4 canceled bids in the $5K range three of which had 0 feedback the last was in the 400's. 6 solid bidders, the leader has been in it for some time now. I only saw one negative and it was someone upset that he sold the item local and did not delete the ad fast enough. Not sure why that would take him down near 10% though.
  23. The FaceBook people are on to it now. Over $9000 with over 3 days to go.
  24. Steve, I think you mean this link. https://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/engine-240z-260z/emission-control-device #4 The part number is correct 11830-E3000 (discontinued.) Yours went to a s12 Silvia. (?) No offense intended.
  25. I agree with you on that, a lot of the other Datsun models (510, 620, 720 etc) have them up higher on the firewall or inner fender. Even the 280 had theirs up higher on the fender.
