76 280z feul pump and injectors no power
It sounds like you may have a bad AFM, that is what turns the fuel pump on when the key is on the "on" position. Generally the fuel pumps are pretty loud and you can hear it when it turns on. Your AFM could just need adjusting or it could need replacing. I'd wait for more people to chime in though before you go and spend more money. Where are you located in Washington?

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
Only problem with a Seattle area Datsun only meet is finding a place to have it. To be honest I think Golden Gardens would make a great place for one when the weather gets better. We wouldn't need to rent anywhere and parking is plentiful if no one tips off the tunner crowd about it. A mid spring early summer meet there would be pretty sweet. You know you like that sound too. (just when it comes out of a Datsun though) It was sort of funny watching everyone get over those speed bumps though There was a pretty sweet 240sx that was converted into an electric car in the second parking lot. Also here's a Datsun forum with pics (more Datsuns in these pics and a video) http://community.ratsun.net/topic/18995-northwest-nissans-presents-golden-gardens-2010/page__pid__284085__st__100entry284085 Dave made it into a few; me being a football field away made into none (also having a primered car doesn't entice people into taking pictures)

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
That was pretty fun, we got there around 7:40 and Dave took one of the last spots =( before the police allowed us to park two cars per spot. Mine was the primered 280z in the second parking lot. We had a little sun before it started to rain again. My friend and I left around 11:40 just as it start to pour. And of course my windshield wipers decided to take the day off and not work. So the drive home was an "experience". All and all it was a pretty fun meet, lots of nice cars, tons of Datsuns, and a little sun. I only took a few pictures but as soon as someone else starts a pic thread over at NWN I'll link to it here.

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
From the sounds of things there should be quite a few S30s and other Datsuns attending. This is my first year going but looking at the pictures from past years it looks like there were a few S30s and tons of 510s. Should be really fun. Dave and I are leaving around 7:30.

1975 fairladyz
Doesn't look like a 10k Z to me. The "GT" Emblem is from a skyline GTR. It looks like a decent car (minus the rear wing and rims) but 10k is way to much, I'd believe the owner if he told me he has 10k into it but that's not what he'll get for it. Offer him like 3-4 grand and see if/what he counters. Also they have electric fuel injection not mechanical. Also the owner doesn't sound supper educated about Zs if he thinks that GTR emblem is original to the car.

Carpet Kit Confusion
Looks like I'm just slow they go on the the sellers said "the two pieces in the picture I believe go from the door sill down to the floor along side the seats and back to the bulk head, which is the piece you correctly say is missing." Also does anyone know if the bulkhead is the same for an early 260z and a 76 280z? The seller tells me they don't have a pattern for the 280z and wants to know if the pattern is the same so he can send me one.

Carpet Kit Confusion
Just got this carpet kit off of Ebay for my 76 280z. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390159139885 Having trouble figuring out where these two pieces go. Ones 22 by 8 and the other is 23 by 9 at their longest and widest parts. Also what's the part called that goes below the hatch and behind the seats. The part with the tool storage container on the other side of them. Looks like the seller forgot to include the carpet for them and I can't think of the what their called to describe it to the seller. Thanks everyone.

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
Here we go an official Golden Gardens 2010 thread about it with all the details. http://www.northwestnissans.com/board/showthread.php?t=108674 I'd ignore the 10am start time though, parking is going to be crazy.

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
Sounds great, I'll message you a few days before the event with the exact times and stuff. Because you live right there you could always meet us at the second meet location (the one right next to golden gardens) so we can organize and stuff before entering golden gardens.

Suspension Work for '78 280Z
Are you sure the Diff is hitting the exhaust on downshift? Usually a clunk in the rear is because of a worn differential mount. Zs are notorious for this.

Golden Gardens, Seattle, 2010?
For some reason I can't find the thread on NorthWest Nissans but yes it's on March 28. There's no registration or fees because it's at a public park. So far Dave and I are going for sure, and should be meeting up with some more people on the way to Golden Gardens. Nothing is set in stone but a rough idea of our plan was to meet people at Dennys on 128th then start driving down to Golden Gardens and meet at a fast food place (I forgot which one) then get organized there before finally entering Golden Gardens.Dave wants to be entering GG around 8am so this is all going to be very early but will insure we get a parking spot. If you want I can pm you my contact info before GG and give you an exact plan of how we're coming. It'd be sweet if we could get a lot of S30s to meet at the fast food place before Golden Gardens so we can enter at the same time and park in the same area.

Suspension Work for '78 280Z
I just redid my suspension a few months ago with anther member on this forum (Dave). If you just using it as a street car then you'll probably just need new struts, most member use Tokico or KYB; bushing kit, most use urethane; lowering aren't a necessity but are nice. I bought my Tokicos (blues) on Ebay for $227 (57 a strut) with free shipping. MSA urethane kit is around 190. Then lowering springs are 180-230 at MSA. I used the Eibachs and so far like them.

What's this drive train worth?
Then a R200 LSD (assuming it's from a 87-89 300zx turbo) is around 600 and a BW T5 tranny is around 300. Perl colored paint jobs are generally a bit of coin too. He says on the ad it's a "280 limited slip rear end" I'd make sure it's a real lsd and not just a r200. If I were you I'd take it for a test drive and see if you like it. IF not there will always be anther. 5500 seems like a reasonable price.

Added some mirrors
Sharp looking Z, the new mirrors look great. What kind of headlights are those? Euro?

Fun Pushing
I think Denis meant the original poster is only 17 and that's waaaaaaaay to young to be messing around with cars. But seriously I haven't a clue why he posted that, probably a "Dang kids and their shenanigans" sort of thing.

Minor Car starting issues
Well once again my car is giving me trouble; this time in the starting department. Long story short I decided to drive my car over to my cousin's house because the weather was decent and I needed to catch up with him a bit. My car drives perfect all the way over there. Then about 10 after I get there I need to move my car to let someone out who i blocked in and my car won't start. The engine was turning over but not firing up. I pop the hood and look for loose connections and check the fuses (Dave and I replaced the fusible links with a maxifuse block thing) but still the car only wouldn't fire up. We ended up pushing my car out of the way so the person I was blocking in could leave. After I went to start the car and it fired right up. Maybe 10 minutes passed during all of this. A few days previously I drove the car to work because Dave and I were going to replace the brake booster afterwords and I had a similar problem. I went to first start the car and nothing happened besides the engine turning over. After cranking for a 20-30 seconds it finally slowly started, had to give it a little gas to keep it afloat for the first few seconds but afterwords it drove great the rest of the day. Even after it sat for four hours while I was at work. I searched around a bit on this forum and think it could maybe be a check valve problem or water temp sensor problem? Instead of starting new threads here's a few other minor questions. Unrelated to this I sometimes see a little white smoke when I start the car after letting it sit for a few days. When I start to drive it goes away immediately. My oil is fine I just assume it's condensation in the exhaust causes this but need a little reassurance. Also unrelated has anybody installed Toyota 4X4 4 piston brake upgrade using 14X5.5 rims? I've searched both here and HybridZ and can't find any specific answer. I'm just talking about the smallest 4 piston upgrade the non vented one. As always thanks for everyone's help thus far with my Z. Without this forum (and Dave) I'd be way over my head with this project.

Possible Brake Booster Issue
Yep it was definitely the brake booster. Dave and I put in the new one yesterday and now the idle doesn't drop at all when I brake. Brakes are more sensitive too, I have a feeling the old brake booster wasn't doing much at all. We also put air in my front tires...I never realized they were low because the tires were installed only a few months ago. I always thought manual steering was just a pain, but now the car steers much easier and my steering wheel doesn't vibrate at freeway speeds anymore. Dave also adjusted my clutch, before it would engage right when you lifted it off the floor, now there is a little leeway and I don't pop the clutch as much (I'm pretty new to driving manuals). Needless to say my car seems to drive much better every time I visit Dave.

260z brake rebuilding parts ?
That list seems to be everything you need, be sure to have the drums turned and you should be set. Some people would recommend replacing the rubber brake houses with stainless steel braided ones but that's optional.

Possible Brake Booster Issue
Ended up ordering one through Autozone. It was 92 plus a 21 core charge, came out to be 125 with tax. So it should be around 100 when I bring back my core. It's a re-manufactured one but has a lifetime warranty against defects. I like Autozone because they tend not to ask questions when you bring back something that's still under warranty and they keep everything in their system so you don't need to track down the receipt. Dave and I will probably install it Saturday and I'll get back to everyone to tell how it went. I drove my Z today to get gas and surprisingly it drove very well. Hissing sound was still there and Rpms dropped a tad but not enough to stall the car like they did in the past. What kind of paint should I use? I'll be sure to pick up some when I go and pick up the booster. Thanks for everyone's help I hope this finally solves the last of my issues.

'72 Datsun 240z 'shell' to purchase or not...HELP!?
I wouldn't buy it, if your trying to save money, buying a rusty car isn't the way to go. You live in Cali plenty of rust free cars. I'd spend a bit more now on a better car or shell instead of a ton more later on getting rid of all the rust on this one.
