  1. i have two from a 73 240, theyre red, no tears or scratches, faded a little though

  4. i bought a 73 240 with those same rims with push in center caps that read spirit of america on them and have a picture of an eagle
  5. I dont think that an auto trans would have anything to do with it but my 73 is matching #'s an the serial # is 129971, and the engine # is 136047, they made 240's up until serial number 172732 so its possible you bought a very late engine

    did the low vin # z's have a five digit serial number, because most of the z's i have seen have a six digits, so wouldnt the serial number look like HLS30-000013?

    I had the same problems with the tranny in my 73, i replaced the slave cylinder an me an my dad took it out for a drive and loosened the synchros up, you just have to try to force it in gear, it shifts fine now
