Front suspension help
I bought 2 from bda and i had 2 from energy suspension, i thought that the bump stops were supposed to go all the way to the gland nut it makes more sense that they would go in the upper spring seat

Front suspension help
Has anyone instaled the strut shaft bump stops on their car? Mine didnt come with directions on how to put them on so im assuming they just sit on top of the gland nut right? Also i purchased some moog ball joints, do i have to pack the ball joints with grease before i install them?

Timing Component question
Does anyone know if the timing chain tensioner in the L24 has a gasket, because i purchased a replacement tensioner in timing a kit i bought from BDA and it did not come with one, and my how to rebuild book says there is a gasket, but the engine being rebuilt in that book is an L20b. Also, i have looked at alot of different Z car parts sites and none of them have the gasket either.

My situation w/ strut rod tube/glandpacking
I soaked it with WD 40 but not for as long as you said, and i tried using a punch, and a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer to try to move the nut counter clockwise and it turned ever so slightly and now it wont turn

Engine reassembly
So i purchased a set of rod bearings from NAPA only they sent me sealed power bearings and lo and behold, the oil holes in them dont line up exactly either. I ordered them for a 1973 Datsun 240z, because that is what i own, it could be possible that my engine may have had rods from a 72 71 or 70, idk, so can anyone tell me if there are any differences in the location of the oil holes? Or can i just put my damn engine back together and not worry about it?

Pretty neat 260, the owner of this car was the brother of the owner who was selling that clean silver Z with the fender flares. I bought a set of original wheel chocks in pretty damn good condition off him.
