25 Z cars and shop full of parts
hmsports...you said that i would need compressed air to get the piston out. is there any other way? i don't have access to tools like that. i have a very meager tool kit that, weekly, gets a new look from Sears. there is always something new i seem to need to buy...go figure, a girl that loves craftsmen toys

Maryland State laws
I know where the emissions is in derwood, there is also one about two blocks from me on Wooffield Rd by the airpark. Of course...I need to get it running first :classic: . I have also thought about joining the MD Z Car club...if you want your spouse to be a member it's $30, just yourself is $25. I missed the show in Laurel , had no way to get there. Hopefully the car will be running by May and I can go to the Import show up in Carlisle, PA. I am glad to know that I am not alone in MD., it makes me feel a little better...

Maryland State laws
I can try checking there web site but if it's anything like trying to call them...:dead: yup, yup...germantown is just up the road. I have had too many people tell me conflicting stories about the procedure for the car. Guess I'll need to take some time off from work... Thanks guys.

Maryland State laws
Does anyone know how registering a '74 240Z works in Maryland? Does the car have to be safety inspected or emissions tested? I've had a car as old as me and don't know how it works with the MVA. :classic: Thanks!

25 Z cars and shop full of parts
Part of the problem is the guy I bought it from isn't quite sure what he did. He told me that he was trying to replace the brakes, opened the caliper, had fluid going everywhere and the car, then, would pull badly to the right. I am not a mechanic but have aquired a lot of books on the Z's so that I can, hopefully, muddle through some of this. The one thing I hate is going to a shop and having them try to hose me because I am female. I saw a Caliper repair kit on E-Bay and have been keeping an eye on it but am still trying to find another way or source for parts. I think my project for the weekend (as long as it doesn't rain) will be to pull the tires off and take a look see.... Thanks!!

25 Z cars and shop full of parts
If you would be willing to ship parts PLEASE, PLEASE contact me directly at gealicpride@yahoo.com. I know that the car needs (for beginners) a battery, tires and brakes. The gut I bought it from threw in a lot of extras but one thing I am trying to find is calipers...he opened the right driver side by mistake. :classic:

If you own a Zcar, what's your sex?
I had a feeling that I might be a little outnumbered...not completely outnumbered. Well, at least I know where to turn to if I run into any major problems with the restoration of my recently purchased 1973 240Z . I guess I am trying to prove to "the guys" that some ladies are Z car nuts too.

240Z in need of answers
Does anyone know if you can add an entire A/C system to a '73 240Z that came from the factory without? I am contemplating this matter considering how warm it has been this summer but just don't know if it's possible. Any responses would be appreciated!

What do you think of the new 350 z?
I absolutely love the new 350. I have been waiting a long time for Nissan to make up it's mind and I think that they did a hell of a job!!

How old are you?
I figure I'll be 31 in less than a month so I might as well vote 31.

Where can I find...
any information on the original specs for the '73 240Z? Things like the original color schemes...
