  1. and thanks Terence!
  2. i will keep you guys posted. the nice thing is that you won't have to hack your buckets and you are replacing it with a Z part. and with the boot that goes over the back of the headlight casing i see no reason dirt or anything could get in. if you were to be concerned with that then you could also add inner fenders.
  3. well if you look into the 79-83 buckets they are cut out in back unlike the s30. so you can easily swap out the bulbs. i apparently must be the first to think of this idea. i noticed while looking for replacement buckets on ebay that the 280zx which uses the same headlight had an opening in the back. i will be doing the swap hopefully this weekend. i was thinking the same thing as you were. i have attached a picture of the buckets i just purchased.
  4. i have a good passenger fender if you need it.

anybody out there have stock exhaust lying around that they don't mind parting with for cheap? it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
  6. thanks for the info. yeah i figured the sunroof was aftermarket but didn't realize the front spoiler was too. could the wheels and front spoiler have been dealer installed as well? it's a 5 speed with 104,500 miles on it. i want to change the bumpers to 240z bumpers. are they direct bolt ons?
  7. is there anyway of doing a classic carfax history report? and how can you find out what were options on my car? the sunroof must be an option and it's a 5 speed. any help would be great guys.
  8. here you go guys. let me know what you think.
  9. Thanks guys! Pics coming soon.
  10. When I was young and stupid I owned a one owner 1983 datsun 280zx turbo. It was a beautiful one of a kind car. It made me feel so good. I was known to everyone. People I didn't know knew me. I felt like the highschool football player. It was a great feeling. I would get stopped everywhere I went by strangers, friends, and even cops. But because of rushing to walmart for Christmas pictures I took a wrong turn ending up over a curb and a tree stump ending the life of the car I loved. It's been 9 years since that day and I've had other car but nothing compared to a Z car. Well as of today I have just purchased a 1978 Datsun 280z. It's not the car mine was but it will be better than my car was. I already have that feeling like I use to have. This time around will be different. I'm gonna join a local Z club and enjoy this car for many years to come. Especially now that I am older and wiser. I am very excited about joining this club and look forward to chatting with all of my fellow Z owners.
